Design Team Inspiration

Catherine made rainbow goldfish for the cute Tiny Gift Box Cats! She used How You Bean? Shaker Add-On, So Smooth and Milk Carton to create all this cuteness. She used the Duh-Nuh coordinating die for the small goldfish and the fish from Porthole Frames for the larger fish. And of course, the sentiment is from Color My World.

Franci‘s card is so much fun! It features Let’s Roll and All the Dots paper. I love how she stamped the flower to create subtle detail in the background. So pretty!

Samantha‘s Let’s Toast card has lots of fun features including the punny greeting made with Harold’s ABCs! She made the background with Sunray Background Stencil and Lots of Stars Background Stencils!

Christy‘s beautiful birthday card features Strawberry Patch and Quilted Heart Backdrop: Portrait. The greeting is Scripty Sweet paired with a sentiment from Berry Special!

The Rub-A-Dub-Dub ducks are busy in the garden in Samantha‘s adorable scene! They are growing veggies with the help of Garden Before ‘n Afters and Stitched Garden Border.

The tasty cake, cookies and tea found in Tea-rrific Day are perfect for the Fun with Food theme! Joyce combined her sweet tea party with Tree House on a tall slimline card!

What activity could be more fun involving food than a picnic? Karin‘s scene has our Crazy Antics mice enjoying a picnic in the woods created with Lift the Flap Tree Backdrop!

Mimi cleverly used Cake Slice Box Pie Add-On to create this amazing watermelon design! With slices of watermelon, Zesty Lemon “limes” and refreshing watermelon coolers in a Stitched Mug Frame, this card is wonderful summertime Fun with Food! I love how she added “ice cubes” to the coolers by die cutting vellum with the Build-A-House window.

Jenn stamped an all-over pattern of summery food from Summertime Charm, Happy Summer, Aloha and Sweetest Flavor. The little Happy Summer ants are a super fun addition! She combined Cole’s ABCs and Oliver’s Stitched ABCs for the greeting. Then she added Prisma glitter to the letters adding lots of sparkle!

We will share more Design Team inspiration for you over the next 2 weeks and we’ll announce our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 128 – Christmas in July tomorrow! Now it’s time to have some Fun with Food!

We are so happy to welcome Leontine van Ganswijk-Smit as the Guest Designer for this challenge! She has been catching our eye with her innovative and beautiful challenge entries and we know she will inspire you as well! You can check out her creativity at her blog: Little Lovely Crafts and at her Instagram account: @little_lovely_crafts

The idea for Leontine‘s super cute Fun with Food inspiration is our Screen Time girl wondering what yummy treats might be inside the picnic basket! She combined lots of sets with cute images of sweet desserts including Unicorn Picnic, Crazy Antics and Year Seven! She used Simple Puffy Clouds for the thought bubbles along with the small bubbles from You Are Sublime to link those thoughts together on the slimline design!

Now let’s see how the Fun with Food theme inspired our amazing Design Team!

Franci‘s sweet design features a classic food-themed set from 2011, Love ‘n Breakfast! Her details add so much fun to this adorable card and I love how she added the polka dots to the kraft cardstock using a white gel pen!

This happy little Yeti or Not pair are enjoying frozen treats in the quaint village that Karin created using Village Shops!

Joyce created a long slimline picnic scene using Crazy Antics! She filled the sky with fluffy clouds using the Cloudy Stencil and framed the scene with a Hello Sunshine Remix pattern!

Samantha C combined Be Hap-Pea with Birthday Before ‘n Afters to create this charming birthday card! She made it extra special using Shimmer cardstock and fun die sets to set the scene; Stitched Garden Border, Meadow Borders and Itsy Bitsy Polka Dot Backdrop!

Christy‘s super cute circle window card features a fun little picnic with the Crazy Antics mice! She used cheery Hello Sunshine Remix 6×6 papers to bump up the happy color palette!

Jessica created a magical Unicorn Picnic scene with lots of sparkle! She started by inking a Puffy Cloud Backdrop: Portrait in pretty blue then adding Chunky Glitter and Pixie Dust Sparkle clouds!

Samantha M designed a fun taco bar with the cute Year Nine set! She added all the fixin’s for tacos using Let’s Toast, Be Hap-pea, Thankful Mice and Make Lemonade!

Caly‘s adorable interactive pop-up card features all the fun breakfast foods from Let’s Toast! She used the Let’s Toast Pull-Tab Add-On to make the toast pop up!

Jenn‘s happy summer design features our new Summer sets, Crazy Antics and All the Clouds! She added lots of fun with the cool ink-smooshed backgrounds and Prisma Glitter on the Finley’s ABCs!
