Just Saying Hello

Hi Fawnatics friends! It’s Nancy here with a little inspiration “For the Birds“!

I made a clean and simple style card with a bit of a cartoon look! Other than the Simply Sentiments greeting stamped in Deep Sea ink it is all die cut! I framed my picture with a Stitched Scalloped Square Frame die cut from Woodgrain cardstock. For the background I brushed Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink on white cardstock. All of the pieces were die cut from white cardstock and colored with Copic markers with very little shading. The trees are from Shadow Box Card, the sun is from Foursquare Backdrop: Portrait and the cute little bird is from the Center Picture Window Card Add-On! Everything is adhered with Glue Tube and mounted on a simple white card base. Easy!

Our For the Birds challenge will be open until Sunday, February 2 at 11:59PM ET. I hope you will join the fun!

Christy’s Pretty Pink Flamingo Inspiration!

Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our For the Birds Challenge! This time I was totally feeling these sweet feathered friends from Flamingo Together. I combined them with some flora and fauna from Critters in the Jungle and Manatee-rific. All of the images were colored with Copic markers and trimmed out with the matching dies.

For my focal panel, I die cut some Ballet Slippers cardstock with the Stitched Journaling Card die. I stamped my sentiment in a combo of Wild Rose and Black Licorice ink and then embossed two of the Just Stitching Hearts. Then I adhered my images.

For the card base, I used more Ballet Slippers cardstock to make a standard A2 sized card, then I trimmed out some Spring Fling pattered papers with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables so you get that detail on the edge, and also get a little peek of that cardstock showing through. I popped up my focal panel with foam tape and added a little Star Dust Stickles to the flower centers to finish off the card.

I also did some stamping on the inside, which you can check out in the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. For now, why not grab those bird stamps and get crafty yourself! There’s still plenty of time to enter our challenge!

The For the Birds challenge will be open until Sunday February 2 at 11:59PM ET. We can’t wait to see what you create!

Samantha’s Stud Puffin Inspiration

Samantha joins us today to share fabulous inspiration for our new challenge that is For the Birds! Her card features Stud Puffin with an amazing ink blended sky!

Samantha loves warm colors of pink and orange and they look amazing as the beautiful sky in the background! She built her scene with Stitched Hillside Borders, Stitched Mountain Borders and clouds from Plane and Simple!

Those adorable little puffins are colored shades of purple with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers; they look so cute and whimsical! The Stitched Mountains were inked with Iced Spruce Distress Oxide ink to give them a velvety soft look!

Thank you so much for inspiring us today, Samantha! Your card is so beautiful!

Our For the Birds challenge will be open until February 2nd at 11:59PM ET. We hope you will join the fun!
