Christy’s Clever Beary Rainy Day Card

We invite you to join us for our current Card Sketch Challenge! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies and papers. The Card Sketch challenge will be open until Sunday, March 6th at 11:59PM ET.

Hey friends, it’s Christy with another card for our Card Sketch Challenge! I started this one by stamping out the images from the brand new Beary Rainy Day in Jet Black Ink. I colored them with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I blended some Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink onto a panel of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. I masked off the bottom with some Post-It Tape to create the washed-out sidewalk, then used the new Rainy Sky Stencil to add raindrops to the sky. I trimmed down that panel with the largest Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables.

Then I took a sheet of patterned paper from the new Flower Market Petite Paper Pad and trimmed that down with the largest of the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I adhered that to a Mermaid card base and popped the focal panel up with foam tape.

For my sentiment, I stamped out the phrases on two separate lines for a little extra interest in Peacock Ink and trimmed those down with the smallest Everyday Sentiment Banners and adhered everything to the card, then finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles on all the splashes and puddles.

If you’d like to see how this card came together, you can check out the video tutorial on my YouTube Channel, Christy Gets Crafty. If you haven’t yet entered our Card Sketch Challenge, you have another week! We can’t wait to see what projects you’ll come up with!

Thanks so much for inspiring us today, Christy!

Samantha’s Tropical Card Sketch Inspiration

We invite you to join us for our current Card Sketch Challenge! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies and papers. The Card Sketch challenge will be open until Sunday, March 6th at 11:59PM ET.

Samantha Mann joins us today to share her gorgeous Card Sketch inspiration! She switched the sketch to the other side and gave it a tropical spin! So fun!

Samantha masked off a portion of the card and used Distress inks in Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron to create a colorful panel. Then using the same colors of ink, she added fun detail with Tropical Leaves Background Stencils!

Next, she stamped the Toucan Do It images with Jet Black ink and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out with the coordinating dies! She arranged them on the inky panel then added the white heat-embossed sentiment!

Thanks so much for this brilliant inspiration, Samantha!

I hope you are inspired to create your own brilliant design with the Card Sketch! We are looking forward to seeing your creativity!
