Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our Inspired by our Create a Scene: City vs. Country Challenge! I am a total country girl at heart, and I love nothing more than being out in nature! And though I’ve personally never experienced it, I’ve always thought it would be amazing to ride in a hot air balloon and get a bird’s eye view of the countryside down below. For this card, I combined the Fly High and Wheely Great Day sets. I stamped all the images in Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

To build the background, I cut down a small panel of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock and blended on Tumbled Glass and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Inks using the Cloudy Stencil. Then I cut the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frame from another piece of Bristol so the whites would match and adhered the background behind the frame using 1/8” Double-sided Tape. I stamped a sentiment in black ink at the bottom.

Then I cut down a piece of patterned paper from the Let It Shine Starry Skies 6×6 pad with the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables and adhered it to a Speckled Eggshell card base. I popped the focal panel up with Scotch 3M Foam Tape and adhered my images, finishing with just a touch of liquid glue.

On the inside, I stamped an image and sentiment from Happy Hugs with Walnut Ink. If you’d like to watch this card come together, you can check out the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Thank you so much, Christy for inspiring us today!

Samantha created wonderful inspiration for you with her imaginative city scene!

To create this colorful city, Samantha started with the background, stenciling the sky with Sunray Stencil to look like the glow from the city lights. She used Distress ink in Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Mermaid Lagoon. The she cut Stitched Hillside Borders and inked them with Black Soot and Lost Shadow Distress Oxide inks.

She stamped the images from Happy Village and Village Heroes with Jet Black ink. She water-colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers in rainbow hues, arranging them in rainbow order. Finally, she added a white embossed sentiment and white gel pen highlights.

Thanks so much for sharing your amazing card design with us today, Samantha! This is a perfect way to congratulate friends who have a new home!

Mimi created the cutest city scene to inspire you today!

Mimi began this adorable city scene with a Large Stitched Rectangle inked with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink, creating crosswalks using Sunray Stencil. Next she used the rectangle piece in the Magic Picture Changer Oven Add-On (you could substitute Small Stitched Rectangle or Small Mini Slimline) to make the four sidewalks, adding traffic signs and fire hydrants from Village Heroes.

She stamped all the images from Car Critters, Bubbles of Joy, Mice on Ice, Simply Celebrate Critters and Tiny Christmas with Jet Black Ink and colored them with Copic markers. She found the word “dream” in Fly High to stamp on the license plate. Finally, the white embossed the sentiment on Black Licorice cardstock to finish this super fun city scene!

Thank you so much for sharing your amazing card design with us, Mimi! I love your creativity!
