A Happy Fall Peekaboo Pop-Up Card with a Guest Designer

We hope you are having fun with new Change the Scene challenge! This challenge closes this Sunday, September 4th at 11:59PM ET. We are looking forward to seeing your creativity!

Today we have inspiration from a guest designer from Lawn Fawn HQ! Jessica Spencer is filling in for this 5th Wednesday of the month to bring you a delightful Change the Scene idea!

Jessica started with the new Peekaboo Pop-Up interactive die, cutting the main die from Let it Shine Starry Skies and Knit Picky Winter patterned papers. For more details about assembling the Peekaboo Pop-Up, check out the intro video HERE.

Then she created a charming Build-A-House, decorating it using Build-A-House Spring Add-On. She added the Leafy Tree Backdrop: Portrait, combining it with the tree topper dies from Tree House.

Next, she added the sun from Spring Showers and smiley cloud from Stitched Rainbow to the pop-up piece. They will rise behind the house when the card is pulled open to change this happy scene. The only stamped element is the Simply Fall Sentiments greeting.

I love all the different textures, fall colors and the variety of cardstock and patterned paper that Jessica used.

Thanks so much for popping in with this super fun inspiration, Jessica!

Christy’s Apple-solutely Awesome Pull-Tab Card

We hope you are having fun with new Change the Scene challenge! There is still one week left of this 3-week challenge. It will be open until Sunday, September 4th at 11:59PM ET.

Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our Change the Scene Challenge! For this one I decided to make a cute, interactive card with an apple picking scene. I combined images from Apple-solutely Awesome, with an extra mouse from Berry Special, and a butterfly and trail from Butterfly Kisses. I stamped all the images in Jet Black ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Then I created a background by blending Distress Oxide Inks onto Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. I used Salvaged Patina with the Cloudy Stencil for the sky. Then I cut down a second piece with the Grassy Border and blended on Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. I cut both of these panels down with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables.

For the interactive element, I wanted it to look like one of my mice was popping in and out of the apple bushel. So, I took the track from the Let’s Toast Pull Tab Add-on and cut that out of the sky background, then added the tab behind the mouse and trimmed off any leftover bits that would show. I secured the track in place on the back of the panel with the little hugger piece. I also cut a notch out if the top of the panel and glued a pull tab reinforcer over the top of the pull tab and added a little blue arrow in the center.

I stamped a sentiment on the bottom of the grassy border and popped that up with foam tape to give the mouse room to move freely on it’s track. Then I popped the whole focal panel up with another layer of foam tape onto a Guava card base, making sure to keep the tape away from the track as well.

Finally I added the rest of my images, stamped a butterfly trail in Manatee Ink, stamped on the inside of the card in Chili Pepper ink, and finished with a bit of Stardust Stickles on the butterfly and apples.

If you’d like to watch this card come together, you can check out the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Thanks so much for this apple-solutely adorable inspiration, Christy!

Samantha’s Unicorn Double Slider Surprise!

We hope you are having fun with new Change the Scene challenge! It is a 3-week challenge that will be open until Sunday, September 4th at 11:59PM ET.

Samantha joins us today to share another brilliant card design! I know you will be inspired to make a fun Double Slider Surprise card!

Samantha used the Double Slider Surprise for the first time to create this changing Unicorn Picnic card! For the background she did some inking then she stenciled Starry Sky with White Stencil Paste.

The scene changes when the side panels are pulled, and more unicorns are revealed!

This card is so much fun, Samantha! Thanks for inspiring us today!
