Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our Lots of Heart Challenge! For this one I decided to make a sweet scene perfect for Valentine’s Day, an anniversary, or any other love-themed occasion. I combined our beloved Fangtastic Friends with the accessory images from Scent with Love Add-On and Wood You Be Mine. I stamped the images in Jet Black ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Then I created a background by blending Distress Oxide Inks onto Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. I first placed the moon mask from the Nighttime Sky Stencil, then added Spun Sugar, Saltwater Taffy, and Worn Lipstick. Then I darkened up the edges with Black Soot. I did some splatters with water, Worn Lipstick, and Black Soot, and then carefully removed the mask and allowed the panel to dry completely.

Once the panel was dry, I trimmed it down with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables. Then I blended on more Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink to add the craters to the face of the moon. I stamped a sentiment at the bottom and adhered the background to a Ballet Slippers card base, then popped my images up with foam tape for a little dimension. I finished up the scene with some iridescent heart confetti and a bit of Stardust Stickles. I also stamped on the inside with Bubblegum Ink.

You still have time to play along with our Lots of Heart Challenge! We would love to have you join us!

Samantha joins us today with inspiration for the Lots of Heart challenge! Her lemony Valentine is so beautiful featuring You’re the Zest!

Samantha began this lovely design by stamping the lemons and the leaves from Be Hap-pea with Jet Black Ink. She colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Next, she used the coordinating dies to cut them all out. Then she added some super cute details to the images with a white gel pen!

Samantha die cut the Giant Outlined: Love Ya from white cardstock. She used Distress Oxide Inks ink pinks and corals to add the color! Then she backed it all with vellum for a soft look!

To create the background, she used Distress Oxide Inks in shades of yellow for the diagonal stripes. She finished the card by popping up the sentiment strip and the lemons with foam tape!

Thank you so much for sharing this awesome card inspiration, Samantha!

Mimi‘s Lots of Heart card gives us an idea of where the term “busy as a beaver” comes from! There’s lots of activity with these Wood You Be Mine beavers! They are busy sending a sweet and punny Valentine message!

Mimi started with a Watercolor Wishes Rainbow background. Then she added a Heart Garden Border along the bottom and another one (minus the heart flowers) on the top. She used the Knit Picky Winter Itchy Sweater green paper for the grass and Lost Mitten pink for the Heart Garland Backdrop: Landscape!

She got really clever and used masking to create the gnawed bit in this log. She found a cupcake with a bite in the Birthday Before ‘n Afters set and masked everything but the toothy bite. Then she masked the bite and stamped the log over the top.

Mimi also masked the heart in the image of the two beavers before stamping them. Then she masked the beavers to stamp the chewed logs. The “I chews you” sentiment is so perfect with this unique scene!

Thanks so much for inspiring us today, Mimi! This card is so creative and fun!
