A Pumpkin Patch Scene with Caly!

Hi Fawnatics Friends!

This is Caly and I’m joining Lawn Fawnatics today to share some fall inspiration for the Awesome Autumn challenge. I’ve created a pumpkin patch scene using the Happy Harvest set. Today’s card is a slimline card and measures 4” x 8.5”

I stamped with Jet Black ink then colored all my images with Copic markers.
Pumpkins: [Y15, Y38, YR07], [Y15, YR14, YR18]
Pumpkin stems: [E34, E57]
Wagon: [R14, R08, R27] and handle [C2, C5, C8]
Crows: [C2, C5, C8] and beak [Y15, YR18]
Sunflowers: center [E34, E57], petals [Y04, Y19, YR27], leaves [G03, G19]
Scarecrow: shirt [R14, R08, R27], overalls [B32, B45, B37], hat [E41, E34, E55], face [E41, E31], cheek [R20], straw [Y26, Y11]

To create my background, I ink-blended with Distress Oxide inks (from the top: Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, Seedless Preserves, Walnut Stain). Then I splattered the panel with water and black ink.

Before adhering my images, I stamped the silhouette corn stalks using the Walnut Stain ink to fill the background. I then stamped the sentiment using Black Licorice ink. The images are then adhered, some directly to the card and others with foam adhesive for dimension.

There is one more week to join the Awesome Autumn fun and I hope you’re inspired by my card today. Thanks for stopping by!

Christy’s Happy Harvest Card!

Hey friends! It’s Christy here with another card for our Awesome Autumn Challenge! Today I’m using one of my all-time favorite sets — Happy Harvest! I decided to try something new though, and give my images that storybook vibe by stamping them in the new Crunchy Leaf ink. I love the soft look it gives!

I colored my images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I created a sunset background by blending Distress Inks onto Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. I also created two Grassy Borders and splattered it all with a little Bronze Perfect Pearls. On the shorter one, I stamped my sentiment.

I trimmed down my focal panel with a Large Stitched Rectangle Stackable and stamped a few corn stalks with Distress Oxide Ink. Then I adhered the taller grassy border with liquid glue and the shorter one with foam tape. I added my images with more foam tape, then popped my focal panel up over some Fall Fling 6×6 patterned papers, also die-cut with the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables.

I also finished off the inside of the card with some additional stamping, which you can check out in the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! The Awesome Autumn Challenge will be open until Sunday, October 6th at 11:59PM ET. We can’t wait to see what you create!

Thank you so much for sharing this brilliant inspiration today, Christy!

Autumn Inspiration with Samantha!

Samantha joins us today with some unique Awesome Autumn inspiration! Her Gleeful Gardens mushrooms give an unexpected pop of rainbow color!

Samantha started with machine stitching the Stitched Leaves to a navy blue card base. The vellum and black and white polka dot leaves provide a neutral backdrop for the colorful images!

Samantha finished this gorgeous card design by adding some glittery accents to the mushroom caps and white pen detail to the cute snail!

Thank you so much, Samantha! This is such a clever and creative take on the Awesome Autumn challenge theme!

This challenge runs for 3 weeks and will be open until Sunday, October 6 at 11:59PM ET. We hope you will join the fun and share your vision of an Awesome Autumn!
