Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 123 – Create a Scene

Happy Monday, friends! We have a new challenge that we know will get your creativity humming! It’s time to “create a scene” on a crafty project! Create a scene that tells a story or a simple scene to send a happy greeting. Add lots of fun details by shopping your stash for all those little images we pack into every set. Most important, have fun!

We invite you to share your creativity by linking up your crafty projects at the end of this post! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies and papers. This challenge will run for 2 weeks and be open until Sunday, May 1st at 11:59PM ET.

For each challenge, we will randomly select an entry to receive a $50.00 gift certificate to the Lawn Fawn shop! Everyone who enters a challenge has a chance to be the random drawing winner! Woohoo!

We will also be highlighting a few of your fabulous projects at the close of each challenge! By linking your projects to our challenges, you will give permission for us to post your work to this blog and our social media sites. Check out the How to Play page for a few guidelines to play along. We want this to be FUN, so we’ll keep the rules to just a few!

Our wonderful friend and team member Jessica Frost-Ballas has decided to step down from the Lawn Fawnatics Design Team. She has been with us since the beginning, and we are so sad to see her go. Her inspiring designs will be missed so much! She will continue to create video tutorials for the Lawn Fawn blog and YouTube channel so she will still be inspiring us with her amazing creativity!

We have a talented Guest Designer for this challenge! Help us welcome Clair! She has been a Featured Fawnatic and one of our Fawny Friday featured cardmakers. We love her bright and happy style, and you will find more of her creativity on Instagram at clairs.cards.

Clair created an adorable scene with a variety of die cuts! This fantastic garden is made up of Springtime Bunny, Stitched Garden Border, Picket Fence Border and Grassy Hillside Borders! To add even more Spring-y beauty she stenciled the background with Spring Blossoms Background Stencils. Of course, we love the hoppy birthday pun created with Henry’s ABCs!

Now, let’s see how our Design Team was inspired to “create a scene”!

Franci combined You Goat This with Garden Before ‘n Afters in a sweet and simple scene! This mini slimline design is so pretty!

Samantha‘s card is Scootin’ By with a happy message! She built the cute background using Stitched Hillside Borders and Grassy Borders! Her card is a great example of a fun and colorful scene with minimal fuss!

It’s strawberry season in Mimi‘s adorable scene! The mice from Berry Special and A Creature was Stirring are busy dipping strawberries in chocolate while their friend is outside picking more yummy berries! To create more room for her kitchen scene, Mimi turned Window Frame on its side and added the pretty Gotta Have Gingham Rainbow curtains!

Samantha used two backdrop dies to create her happy woodland picnic! Forest Backdrop and Sunray Backdrop add to this sunny scene along with Crazy Antics and S’more the Merrier and Butterfly Kisses! The sentiment is found in Let’s Play!

Christy started with the Window Scene: Spring set then added the cute bunny from Scootin’ By to create a cheery scene! I love how she used Flower Market paper and Simple Stripes: Diagonal to make that gorgeous background!

Joyce‘s fantastic card gives us an indoor and outdoor scene with the help of Window Frame and Window Scene: Winter! The Den Sweet Den bears are cozy inside while the little Beary Rainy Day bear is playing in the puddles outside! So adorable!

Karin‘s scene features Village Heroes, Road Border and Forest Border! This charming design is perfect to thank those who serve our communities!

I love Catherine‘s whimsical farm scene! She turned Build-A-Barn into a “goat spa” with adorable results! To create the background, she stenciled some fluffy clouds, then inked up a Meadow Backdrop: Landscape!

Jenn set the scene for this adorable Beary Rainy Day card with a fun background! She used watercolor techniques in stormy colors then she used Rainy Sky Stencil for added texture! The rainbow from Rainbow Before ‘n Afters brings hope for another sunny day!

We will share more Design Team inspiration for you over the next 2 weeks and we’ll announce our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 122 – Spring Inspiration & Color Board tomorrow! Now it’s time for you to get creative!
