Happy Monday and welcome to another fun Lawn Fawnatics challenge! This time let’s make cards for all the guys in our lives! Father’s Day cards, birthday cards, you name it! Use the inspiration photo and color palette as inspiration to create a masculine design!
We invite you to share your creativity by linking up your crafty projects at the end of this post! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies and papers. This challenge will run for 2 weeks and be open until Sunday, May 15th at 11:59PM ET.
For each challenge, we will randomly select an entry to receive a $50.00 gift certificate to the Lawn Fawn shop! Everyone who enters a challenge has a chance to be the random drawing winner! Woohoo!
We will also be highlighting a few of your fabulous projects at the close of each challenge! By linking your projects to our challenges, you will give permission for us to post your work to this blog and our social media sites. Check out the How to Play page for a few guidelines to play along. We want this to be FUN, so we’ll keep the rules to just a few!
Now, let’s see how our Design Team was inspired by the masculine colors and theme!
Catherine was inspired by the wood in the photo to create this brilliant “log rolling” scene! She combined Forest Backdrop, Mountain Stencil, Plaid Stencil and Ocean Wave Borders to set the scene. Then she featured the Jump for Joy hedgehog as a log-rolling porcupine and the Bicycle Built for You boy as a lumberjack! Now for the really clever fun, she used the winter scarf from Snow Much Fun to remake as the axe, the logs are from Joy to the Woods and the perfect sentiment comes from Let’s Roll! Inspiration is everywhere, shop your stash!
Samantha brough in the wood element with Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop! She used the woodgrain panel to define the sweet A Bug Deal scene. This is such a fun get well card featuring the masculine color palette!
Mimi made an adorable card perfect for Father’s Day! I love how she turned the Baked with Love mixer into a chop-saw, that is so clever! The “beary” handy bears building the tree house are from Beary Rainy Day! Mimi used Lift the Flap Tree Backdrop and Puffy Cloud Borders along with images from lots of sets to make this fantastic design!
Joyce‘s Dad + Me bears look so adorable in this design! She used Skinny Stripes Stencils to make the gingham look pattern. Then she combined Henry’s ABCs with the sentiment found in Dad + Me. She added the cute Toadally Awesome dragonfly to add cuteness to her amazing clean and simple card!
I love how Christy used a brighter version of the color palette to create this amazing galaxy design! She paired Year Eleven with Out of This World for sending the punny belated wishes!
Karin‘s beautifully unique design starts with a Fancy Lattice Backdrop. Then she created the sweet scene using You’re Just My Type, Love Poems and a cute apple from Tree Before ‘n Afters! This is a great way to thank a dad or favorite teacher!
Franci‘s design is so sweet! This little scene features our Den Sweet Den bears and sentiment! The square shaped card is simply masked and ink-blended to create a charming backdrop!
Samantha captured the muted colors of the challenge palette perfectly in this RAWRSOME and Critters from the Past birthday card! The fantastic Distress Oxide ink background adds a decidedly prehistoric look to her dinosaur themed design!
We will share more Design Team inspiration for you over the next 2 weeks and we’ll announce our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 123 – Create a Scene tomorrow! Now it’s time for you to get creative!
Wow, I love these, esp the ones that directly followed the “wood” theme. Catherine, I tried to leave a note at your site but I did not see the card you submitted above at the site. Anyway, FANTASTIC JOB!!
TFS, Lawn Fawn!

Hi Lori!
I am so happy that you like my card! Apologies, that you didn’t see my card on my site. It must have been a timing issue when I posted it. I hope you will play along with this Challenge! I can’t wait to see your creation! 🙂
Great challenge and great cards from the DT! I love the colour palette too!
Fun challenge! Thank you for sponsoring at Word Art Wednesday.
Always a good idea to add to my stash of cards for guys, and I love this color theme. I was inspired to pull out some Lawn Fawn stamp sets that have never seen ink, and that’s another good thing!
