It’s the last weekend for this challenge and Karin has some super fun inspiration for you! She says, I am Swedish, and I think Lapland with the Sami people, the Nordic light and the vast plains, the mountains and the reindeer are unique.

Karin created the mountains and the reindeer using Over the Mountain Borders. She used Distress ink to create the Northern Lights, then she used the stitched rectangle from Window Scene: Spring to frame her scene.

Next, she added the deer from Ugly and Bright, using Copic markers for the colorful sweater. Then she die-cut Henry’s ABCs to spell her country, giving the letters a pretty ombré look!

Your design is so much fun, Karin! Thank you for sharing your inspiration with us!

Joyful Winter Card with Karin

Happy 2021 Fawnatics friends! This is the last weekend for our New Year challenge; it closes on Sunday January 3 at 11:59PM ET.

Karin has lovely inspiration, with wishes for a joyful winter!

This beautiful scene starts with Over the Mountain Borders stamped in the background along with a gorgeous ink blended sky!

Karin then added Lift the Flap Tree Backdrop to frame this little forest pond. The pond is found in Bayou Backdrop and it’s stamped with the pretty heart trail from Mice On Ice. How cute is the little bear from Car Critters in the “hot cocoa” concession stand? The booth is from Coaster Critters!

Thank you for sharing this lovely and inspiring card with us, Karin!

Christy’s Cool New Year Yeti

Merry Christmas to all of our Lawn Fawnatics friends who are celebrating today! We wish you the happiest of holidays!

Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our New Year Challenge! This challenge will be open until Sunday, January 3 at 11:59PM ET.

For this card I used the adorable Yeti or Not stamp set, along with an ornament from Joy to the Woods and the mountain range from Over the Mountain Borders. My idea for this card is that the yeti is making off with the New Year’s Eve ball! I colored my images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I cut out a Stitched Circle Stackable out of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. I blended on Distress Inks in Spun Sugar and Speckled Egg to create my sky. I splattered on some Liquid Stardust and Copic Opaque White to create some stars. Then I die cut the mountain range to fit and layered it over top.

I trimmed down my Let It Shine 6×6 patterned papers with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables for the cream print with the gold foiled dot. I also selectively die-cut the pink polka dot with the Stitched Party Banners die and cut the aqua and white stripe with the Scalloped Circle Stackables. I layered these onto a Speckled Eggshell card base and popped my focal panel up with foam tape. Then I adhered my images and added an Everyday Sentiment Banner stamped in Manatee Ink. I finished the card off with a sprinkle of sequins, and some Stickles glitter glue because the new year needs to sparkle!

If you’d like to see how this card came together, I will have a video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty, on Monday, December 28th. Since it’s Christmas and I already have one Lawn Fawn video up today (with the card featured on the Lawn Fawn blog), I thought I would spread the love over two days!

In the meantime, you still have time to play along with our New Year Challenge! We can’t wait to see what you create!

Have a lovely weekend, friends!
