Design Team Inspiration

Catherine chose the Peppy Penguin for her holiday critters, and they are so cute! She stacked the penguins on a Build-A-Christmas Tree. She used Snowy Sky Stencil and Candy Cane Lane paper for the background. Catherine borrowed the earmuffs from Build-A-Snowman, altering them slightly so they fit the penguins.

It’s Christmas on the farm and the goats are wrapping gifts! Samantha‘s clever scene combined Christmas Dreams and Yeti or Not trees on a Stitched Hillside Backdrop: Landscape. Then she brought in the fun with You Goat This and Holiday Helpers!

Franci‘s adorable gift tags feature Cheesy Christmas on Tag, You’re It tags! She cut the tags from Candy Cane Lane paper and added a Stitched Hillside Border to each tag.

The holiday critters in Christy‘s design are having a busy night helping Santa deliver gifts! She used Simply Celebrate Santa, Ho-Ho-Holidays and Holiday Helpers images. Then she made a fun scene with Rooftop Border and the greeting with Finley’s ABCs.

The Car Critters bears are on the road to a joyful winter! Karin also used Car Critters Christmas Add-On and trees from Yeti or Not. The joyful sentiment is from Mice on Ice. Then she added a gold metallic Scripty Joy.

It’s a super fun holiday party with the Cheesy Christmas mice! Joyce created the happy scene on a Knit Picky Winter background. She stamped the mice sentiment on a Stitched Sentiment Banner.

How cute are the Furry and Bright pups playing in the deep snowdrifts! Samantha combined Puffy Cloud Borders with a Stitched Hillside Border to make all the snow. For the backdrop, she used Birch Tree Stencils with Unchartered Mariner and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink. Then she added snowflakes with Snowflake Background Stencils and glittery stencil paste!

I just love how Mimi combined Hay There, Hayrides with Cheesy Christmas so the cute critters have a wagon to bring in the Christmas cheese tree! She made the background with an inked Stitched Wavy Backdrop. Then she added Simply Celebrate Winter trees, the Hay There barn and snow from Snowball Fight. She got so creative adding reindeer antlers and a red nose for Car Critters Christmas Add-On to the tractor!

As we reach the last weekend of the Holiday Inspiration challenge, Mimi is here to inspire your creativity!

Mimi incorporated the inspiration colors in a fun Christmas card featuring Car Critters and Car Critters Christmas Add-On! She framed her scene with Forest Backdrop.

Mimi inked the background with Distress Oxide ink in Mustard Seed, Uncharted Mariner and Chipped Sapphire to create a glow for the Here We Go A-Waddling lamp posts. She added the string of lights from Treat Cart Add-On: Coffee before white embossing her greeting above.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful card with us, Mimi!

Samantha was inspired by the children’s book series by Mo Willems: Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus and The Duckling Gets a Cookie?! She says, “both of these books are near and dear to my heart since when my little Menn were actually little (ha!). They LOOOOVED these books and always made us ALL crack up!”

She started by stamping the images from the Rub-a-Dub-Dub, Car Critters, All the Speech Bubbles and Milk and Cookies with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut them out. Then she transformed the larger duck image into the Pigeon.

Samantha used the Peekaboo Backdrop dies to create the sort of book/comic book grid that is used in the book. She used Distress Oxide Inks in Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold and Tattered Rose to add ink blending all around.

The sentiments were stamped from All the Speech Bubbles in all of the tiny speech bubbles!

This is so sweet, Samantha! Thank you for sharing this inspired card!
