We have a super talented Guest Designer to kick off the new year! Please welcome Lynn Dionne! She has been playing in our challenges and she always inspires and impresses us with her unique designs! She shares her creativity at her blog Pink Whisper Designs and at her YouTube channel.

Lynn is embracing the theme with a calendar easel card, saying goodbye to the old year and welcoming a shiny new year! Her new products are Tree Before ‘n Afters and Foursquare Backdrop: Landscape! For the something old, Lynn used Riley’s ABCs, Little Picket Fence Border and Everyday Sentiment Banners. Be sure to visit her blog for all the details for making this amazing card!

Now let’s see how our awesome Design Team was inspired by the Something Old, Something New theme!

Joyce combined our new You’re Just My Type and Love Poems with our older Love Letters set! Her adorable card is a perfect Valentine or just to send some love!

Jessica‘s fantastic clean and simple design pairs our Thanks a Latte stamp set with our new Just Stitching Hearts die set!

It’s never too early to start making those Christmas cards! Samantha just had too many ideas this year so she’s starting on next Christmas! Her festive design combines Ho-Ho-Holidays with our older Toboggan Together and Puffy Cloud Borders! She even highlighted our very first alpha set, Harold’s ABCs with her punny greeting!

Christy‘s charming card combines sweet sayings from Love Poems with cute little mice from Wild for You and Elphie Selfie! She used Stitched Circle Stackables to create this adorable “cheesy” design!

Franci featured our new Stud Puffin set with clouds from Butterfly Kisses and a little envelope Gleeful Gardens! She created this sweet, shaped design using an Outside In Stitched Heart Stackable!

Karin‘s beautiful card features flowers from Flutter By with new Simple Wavy Banners and Wavy Sayings!

How adorable is Samantha‘s sweet mash-up of You’re Just My Type and Keep on Swimming! She added a greeting from Reveal Wheel Sentiments!

Caly‘s precious gift tags are ready for Mother’s Day! She made them using our brand new Heart Shaker Gift Tag die set and our older Mom + Me stamp set! She added some glittery sweetness with our Spring Sparkle glitter cardstock.

More Fabulous Inspiration by our Guest Designer, Davina!

Hello Fawnatics Friends! We are one week into our Inspired by a Book, Movie or Song challenge and you guys are seriously impressing us with your creativity! There is still a full week to enter the challenge which is open until Sunday, March 17 at 11:59PM ET.

Our amazing Guest Designer, Davina joins us again today to share 2 more fabulous cards to inspire your crafting! She will tell you about her process for making these clever card designs!

“I love creating scenes from movies and books. And when I’m going through my stamp sets I’m always thinking about what else can be created with the images. I was inspired by one on my favorite childhood movies Bambi. I knew that I had images for all the main characters.

My favorite part of the movie is the “Twitterpated” spring. And I tried to recreate that meadow scene. After die cutting my panels I ink-blended the background and splattered white opaque ink on the golden sky. I stamped out all my images and colored them with Copic markers and white gel pen highlights. I wanted my cute Flower the skunk to be behind the flowers like he was in the movie, so I popped the flowers and grass up on foam tape and placed him behind.

Thumper sits atop the log from the Toadally Awesome set, Bambi is standing in front. I didn’t forget Owl who is perched on a branch whistling away. It was such a joy to create this iconic scene and I hope that you play along with the current challenge to create your own scenes.”

“I am such a lover of everything Harry Potter that I couldn’t resist making a something inspired by the Wizarding World. Honeydukes Sweet Shop is by far one of my favorite magical places.”

“After already creating two projects I wanted to try something a little different. I wanted to make a scene that would appear like I was living in the Wizarding World.  And what would the table look like upon emptying my pockets after a day in Hogsmeade Village. I’d have Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans, and Chocolate Frogs. There would be Droobles best blowing gum and Fizzing Wizzbees. I would have brought home a Pumpkin Pasty for later and some sweet Jelly Slugs (formerly a cute snail from Gleeful Gardens who lost him shell).”

Thank you so much, Davina! Your card art is amazing and we are so happy that you joined us for this challenge!
