Let’s see what our wonderful Design Team was inspired to create!

Jessica was inspired to create an alcohol inked background with the look of cool water! Those pops of red from Happy Hibiscus are so stunning!

Samantha‘s sweet scene uses the inspiration photo as a starry sky! She combined the Den Sweet Den bears with stars and a telescope from Super Star then she grounded the scene with a large cloud from Unicorn Picnic!

Christy‘s Toadally Awesome birthday card is a total delight! She incorporated the colors of the inspiration photo in the Simple Stripes: Landscape background!

Gorgeous alcohol inking creates the perfect backdrop for Caly‘s Christmas Fishes design!

Joyce brightened up the inspiration colors for her whimsical underwater scene! She used Slimline Tropical Leaves Border to create a fun environment for the mermaid, Duh-nuh shark and Ahoy Matey treasure chest!

Karin was inspired to create an amazing birthday card! She layered a gold metallic Giant Happy Birthday greeting over an alcohol inked background; the gold flecks bring it together! She finished the card with some happy toucans!

Samantha inked up a charming underwater scene for the little critters from I Like You (a lotl)! She added cool details to the water using Bubbles Stencil!

Jenn‘s colorful mermaids are waving hello on a gorgeous alcohol-inked backdrop!

We will share Design Team inspiration for you over the next 2 weeks and we’ll announce our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 107 – 3D Cards tomorrow! Now it’s time for you to get creative!

Karin’s Fabulous Tropical Shadow Box Card!

Hi Friends! It’s the last weekend for our 3D Cards Challenge! The challenge closes on Sunday September 5 at 11:59PM ET. Luckily Karin has some really awesome inspiration to spark your creativity today!

Karin created a beautiful Shadow Box Card that is perfect to send some smiles to someone special! She used Happy Hibiscus and Tropical Leaves Backdrop to decorate it in beautiful tropical style!

I love how she colored the birds from Toucan Do It! The lighter colors give them some really cute personality and they look great with the pretty colors of cardstock!

Thank you so much for this lovely inspiration, Karin!

Christy’s Wild Shadow Box Card Featuring Toucan Do It

Our 3D card challenge is a 3 week challenge, open until September 5, at 11:59PM ET. We can’t wait to see your 3-dimensional card creations! Link them up HERE.

Hello friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our 3D Card Challenge! I just can’t get enough of the sweet jaguars from the Toucan Do It stamp set, so I just had to use them again. I also added in the small leaf from Critters in the Jungle. I colored all the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

I die cut the two pieces of the Shadow Box Card die from Mermaid Cardstock. Then I cut out the trees from Ground Coffee, the tree tops from Noble Fir, and the Grass from Cilantro. I also cut out the cloud tab from the Shadow Box Rainbow Add-on from Cilantro Cardstock and turned it upside down and trimmed off the tabs to fill in my tree tops. I put the trees on both the front of the Shadow Box and on the back panel to create a little forest.

I assembled everything using 1/8” Double Sided Tape. I also trimmed down more of the grass tabs to finish off the sides of the box, but left the back blank so I have a space to write a message to the recipient. Then I added my images inside and out using Mini Glue Dots and finished with an Everyday Sentiment Banner stamped in Noble Fir Ink.
