A Card Sketch Easter Design with Samantha!

Hey everyone, Samantha here with a sweet little Easter card that is inspired by the current Card Sketch challenge. I really love sketch challenges, because it allows you to think differently while creating a project. I wanted to create a fun Easter scene that still followed the sketch.

The bunnies from the Some Bunny stamp set are so adorable, and I love the little garden and carrots the comes with the set. Since spring always seems to always be rainy, I thought it would fun to have a rainbow in the sky! The tonal papers from Spiffy Speckles Petite Paper Pack create such a wonderful backdrop.

The Card Sketch challenge goes through Sunday, April 19th at 11:59 PM EST. Please check out the challenge page for so much inspiration from both the designers and current entries. It is so much fun to see the different ways the sketch has been interpreted. I hope you have an amazing day!

A Clever Rainbow Card by Marine!

We are so happy to have our Guest Designer, Marine Simon, back to share another amazing card project for our current challenge, What’s the Weather?! This challenge will be open until Sunday, March 3 at 11:59PM ET.

To make the oversized umbrella, Marine used the largest hot air balloon from Blue Skies and modified to look like an umbrella! She colored the umbrella with rainbow colors then stamped the water-drops from Gnome Sweet Gnome in coordinating colors to make it the colorful raindrops!

To complete this fabulous card, Marine added a pair of bunnies from Some Bunny holding onto the umbrella! If the umbrella handle looks familiar it’s because it’s the lantern hanger from Fairy Friends, I love how Marine uses images so creatively! The sentiment from Starry Backdrops is curved to fit the shape of the umbrella and white embossed to pop against the watercolor sky!

Thank you so much for inspiring us today with this totally charming card, Marine! We are so happy that you joined us as a Guest Designer for this challenge!

Be sure to check out Marine’s blog, Blue Marine Craft, her Instagram and her YouTube channel!
