Jessica’s Sunny Spring Card

Our current Happy Spring challenge will be open until this Sunday, April 18th at 11:59PM ET. We are looking forward to seeing your projects inspired by the challenge board!

Good morning!  Jess here with a card for our current challenge!  I created a card using the challenge photos for inspiration!

To start I blended Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink onto an A2 panel. I added a little Dried Marigold at the bottom in a curve to resemble the sun. Then I die-cut the Sunrise Backdrop die and blended more Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink over the sun and halfway up the rays. I made sure you could see the Dried Marigold Distress Oxide ink on the back panel and then layered them together with foam mounting tape.

Next, I stamped the bird, snail, grass, and flowers from Gleeful Gardens and Fairy Friends and colored them with Copic markers before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies. I stamped the scripty part of the sentiment from Happy, Happy, Happy and die-cut it with the outline die.  Then I stamped the other part of the sentiment from Tree Before N’ Afters and trimmed it down to a thin label. I die-cut the grass from Simply Grassy Hillsides and blended Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink over it. I adhered the grass to my sunny panel and then added the rest of the images to create my scene!  Finally, I added the sentiment and a few white gel pen accents to finish the card!

And that’s it!  You have one more weekend to get crafty and I can’t wait to see what you’ll create!  Thanks so much for stopping by and have an amazing weekend! –Jess

Joyce has a beautiful Bubbles of Joy card to share today, inspired by the pretty pastel colors of the eggs in the inspiration image!
