Christy’s Beautiful Beach Scene!

Hey friends, it’s Christy with another card for our Summertime Fun Challenge! Last time I took you to a watermelon patch in Gnome Village. This time I’m taking you to the beach! I combined images from Life is Good, Fintastic Friends, and On the Beach. I stamped them all in Jet Black ink, colored them up with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For my background, I blended Distress Oxide inks onto a Bristol Smooth Surface Panel. I used Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs for the sand, and Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers for the sea/sky. To create the rough line of the sand, I used a piece of torn masking paper. And I also did some splatter detail on the lower half to give it that sandy look.

I trimmed the focal panel down with the largest of the Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables, and stamped my sentiment from On the Beach and a trio of seagull silhouettes from Life is Good at the top. I also cut down a piece of Really Rainbow patterned paper with the largest of the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I adhered the paper to my Mermaid card base and popped the focal panel up with foam tape. Then I adhered my images with the Glue Tube.

And that’s it! If you’d like to watch this card come together, you can check out the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. We hope you’ll play along in our Summertime Fun challenge! We can’t wait to see what you create!

Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful card with us today, Christy! It’s the perfect inspiration!

The Summertime Fun challenge will be open until Sunday, August 2 at 11:59PM ET.

Summertime Fun Inspiration with Samantha!

Samantha joins us today to share some beachy inspiration for our Summertime Fun challenge!

These cute bears are enjoying a day at the beach in this colorful scene! The bear from On the Beach is getting some sun, the Really High Five bear is playing in the waves and there’s the little bear from Smooth Sailing peeking out from behind the sandcastle he’s building!

Samantha used scene building border sets, Stitched Wave Borders and Stitched Hillside Borders, to create layers of ocean waves and sandy beach! She added a greeting from Reveal Wheel Sentiments!

Thank you so much for this happy inspiration, Samantha! I’m sure we would all love to join this cute bear family at the beach!

The new Summertime Fun challenge will be open until Sunday, August 2 at 11:59PM ET. We hope you will join us!
