Design Team Inspiration

Samantha Mann‘s confetti card brings to mind snapping selfies in Times Square as the ball drops on New Year’s Eve. It features the Magic Iris Camera Add-on, Magic Iris Camera Pull-Tab Add-on, and Scripty Cheers.

Joyce‘s card is the perfect blend of drama and cuteness, combining the brand-new Critter Conversation Hearts and the numbers from Cake It Easy against her gold and black background.

Karin‘s card brings a pop of pink with her watercolored Stitched Poinsettia. It adds a touch of whimsy to the sophistication of her black and gold layers and gold embossed Magic Holiday Messages sentiment.

This little Birthday Before ‘n Afters chickie is popping out ready to party on Mimi‘s adorable card. He’s looking festive in his party hat beside the Cake It Easy cake with its paper-pieced frosting!

These gleeful geese are throwing the biggest birthday bash on Samantha Casey‘s card. It sweetly combines Silly Goose! with the row of gifts from Simply Celebrate Winter.

Mayra‘s card is dripping in gold with her bold, custom sentiment using Oliver’s Stitched ABCs and Oliver’s Stitched 123s. Look closely and you’ll see Stitched Fireworks going off in the background.

Franci’s sweet Tag, You’re It gift tags also feature the Stitched Fireworks as a festive backdrop to her sledding Snow One Like You critters.

Christy‘s Caroling Mice are bringing joy to all in the Village Hillside Border. Her Winter Wonderland Window and snowflake accents set off the detail in the Quilted Diamond Backdrop. Check out the video tutorial on her YouTube channel!

Mimi‘s clever Give It a Whirl card shows a top view of a birthday cake decorated with frosting and confetti! Whirl the tab and a slice is missing! Yummy!

Be sure to check out the Intro to Give It a Whirl video for quick and easy assembly instructions and more ideas!

Mimi used flower dies from Tiny Gift Box Bunny Add-On and Woodland Critter Huggers Summer Add-On to make the frosting rosettes. She cut the larger flower from Woodland Critters Huggers Summer Add-On first, then she cut the flower with the one from Tiny Gift Box Bunny Add-On to give the smaller flower a swirly effect. That is so clever!

Since Mimi decorated the top circle of the “cake” with die cuts, she has a couple tips for making the interactive mechanism move smoothly. She suggests running the decorated circle through the die cut machine a few times to flatten the die cuts. Then she added lots of anti-static powder to cut down on friction. We recommend EK Success Powder Tool for this.

After you “give it a whirl”, part of the “cake” missing with only crumbs, confetti and the cake server are left. The confetti dots are circles from Spring Sprig and Pop-Up Desk. And the “cake server” is a garden tool from Watering Can.

Mimi found the perfect sentiment in Birthday Before ‘n Afters. She stamped it on “banners” made from the Build-An-Aquarium die set. The Happy Birthday on the cake is from Offset Sayings: Birthday.

This card is so brilliant, Mimi! Thank you for sharing it with us!
