Design Team Inspiration

Christy‘s Treat Cart Add-On: Tacos design is so charming! She used some elements from Critters in the Desert to add Southwestern flair! I love how she separated the scene from the Finley’s ABCs greeting with a Stitched Scalloped Border! The Favorite Flannel paper in the background lends a subtle pattern that is just perfect!

Samantha combined Beachy Christmas with Furry and Bright to create a Christmas scene filled with sand and colorful Christmas lights. For the ocean background she used Stitched Ripple Backdrop, Simple Stitched Wavy Borders and Simple Puffy Clouds.

Mimi‘s “seed-sational” holiday card features Backyard Bird Feeder and Backyard Bird Feeder Add-On in a Spooky Forest Backdrop. Then she used holiday images from lots of sets to decorate the scene for Christmas! Here’s a list of the those sets: Winter Birds, Car Critters Christmas Add-On, Christmas Dreams, Ugly and Bright, Cheery Christmas, Tiny Winter Friends and A Creature was Stirring.

Franci‘s simply adorable scene features Christmas Fishes and a background made with Gleeful Gradients!

Karin‘s frosty design sends a Happy Holidays greeting with a Frosty Family snowman in a Stitched Snowflake window! She stamped the Winter Wavy Sayings sentiment on a Simple Wavy Banner.

Joyce created a whimsical scene with Simply Celebrate Winter Critters and Simply Celebrate Hangouts. The winter hat wearing mice look so cute gathered on the chunk of cheese! For the background Joyce used Let it Shine Starry Skies paper for the Lacy Rectangle, then she layered it on a panel of metallic gold cardstock.

Samantha‘s ocean themed card features the Christmas Fishes jellyfish and a fun punny greeting to match. She used Draped Ribbons Stencil and Stitched Hillside Borders with seaweed from You Are Sublime to create the underwater scene.

Mayra‘s Build-A-Cake design is so elegant! The pops of red and green Poinsettias and Hibiscus fill her card with holiday cheer and a beachy note. The stenciled background has a subtle pattern of poinsettias.

We will have more Design Team inspiration for the Christmas in July challenge over the next 2 weeksBe sure to come back tomorrow when we’ll announce our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 200 – Celebrate Friendship!

It’s the last week for the Up, Up and Away challenge and Mayra has some sweet Backyard Bird Feeder inspiration for you! We are looking forward to seeing your clever entries for this challenge!

The cute mouse from It’s a Bird has his binoculars focused on the bird feeder! That’s where Mayra’s pretty purple birds are flocking together! She used a branch and leaves from A Bug Deal and an inked sky with Simple Puffy Clouds to set the scene.

This is so adorable, Mayra! Thank you so much for sharing this cute inspiration!

For this challenge, “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery”! Choose your favorite Lawn Fawn designer and recreate one of their cards! Be sure to tell us who inspired you and link to where you found your inspiration.

Franci was inspired to recreate this amazing card by Elena!

Franci used the adorable Backyard Bird Feeder set, arranging the images as Elena did. She also used Rainbow Ever After petite ombré paper for the background! But Franci added an extra element, making her card a shaker by adding acetate and cute shaker bits and sequins!

Thank you for this great inspiration, Franci! I love how you turned Elena’s card into a shaker!
