Design Team Inspiration

Giant Happy Fall is in the spotlight on Catherine‘s gorgeous card! With Fall Leaves Backdrop layered on Spiffier Speckles in Yeti, Stitched Pumpkins and a cute squirrel this card sends a happy message! And those pastel pumpkins are everything, so beautiful!

Christy‘s lovely card sends a message of thanks with a pretty Fall floral arrangement! Her sentiment is a combination of Scripty Thanks and Reveal Wheel Sentiments. She filled the Thanks a Latte mug with flowers from Our Friendship Grows, Fairy Friends and Frosty Fairy Friends! Then she added some beautifully colored Autumn leaves from Scripty Autumn Sentiments.

Franci‘s fabulous Halloween card features Giant Trick or Treat and some adorable jack o’ lanterns! She stamped cute faces on the Stitched Pumpkins using Thanks a Latte. She layered the sentiment and pumpkins on an inked panel of Spiffier Speckles 6×6 paper!

Joyce used our Christmas Before ‘n Afters mice to make a card perfect for Valentine’s Day, an anniversary or any day to send some love! She also used Giant XOXO and Lots of Hearts Background Stencils to create this sweet card!

Karin‘s beautiful birthday card combines Spring Flowers Backdrop with Scripty Love. She stamped out Happy Birthday with stamps from Reveal Wheel Sentiments and Reveal Wheel Spring Sentiments!

Mimi spelled out her Howl-o-ween message with shimmery Finley’s ABCs on a background inked and stenciled with Nighttime Sky Stencil! Then she added cute images from Wild Wolves and Tiny Halloween!

The sweet Frosty Fairy Friends complement Giant Let it Snow so well! Samantha created this beautiful card with a Stitched Scalloped Square Frame and pretty Watercolor Wishes and Stripes ‘n Sprinkles papers!

You knew Samantha would bring the punny sentiment! She didn’t disappoint with this fun design! Her sentiment is spelled with Henry’s ABCs on a backdrop that is inked and stenciled with Lots of Stars Background Stencils. The adorable limes are from You’re the Zest and their party hats and balloons are from Party Animal. And those adorable little legs are from Be Hap-pea.

Jenn‘s Halloween card is so much fun! She used a bit of “hocus pocus” for her Quinn’s ABCs sentiment, swapping out the o with the cauldron from Purrfectly Wicked! Then she added a Purrfectly Wicked cat and a dog from Happy Howloween.

Her background is water-colored with Gansai Tambi Gem Color watercolors on Distress BLACK heavy stock cardstock. And it wouldn’t be a “Jenn card” without some Prisma and Chunky glitters!

Catherine‘s festive and fun design celebrates Hanukkah in cute critter style! She started with Giant Happy Hanukkah, then she used Love You a Latke images with the adorable mice! She found additional images in the Holiday Party Animal set!

Additional sets used: A Creature Was Stirring (jelly doughnuts and mouse), Merry Mice, Crazy Antics, Virtual Friends Add-On and Year Nine (candles).

To create the background, Catherine used Snowflake Background Hot Foil Plate for the silvery snowflakes. Then she added a layer of stenciled snowflakes using White Stencil Paste.

Samantha used Giant Let it Snow in glittery cardstock, making it the star of her card! She added the Snow One Like You sledders in place of the “O” for extra cuteness with a Stitched Ripple Backdrop snowy hill. Then she framed the scene with Snow Flurries in more glitter cardstock!

Karin‘s gorgeous card is so creative as well! Starting with Giant Sending Big Hugs, she made a Christmas greeting by adding a white embossed sentiment! Then she added gorgeous accents with a Let it Shine Snowflakes background and flowers from Magic Iris Birdhouse Add-On!

Not only did Samantha make her sentiment the star, but she also made it super fun and punny! Her custom greeting is a mix of Henry’s ABCs and Harold’s ABCs! She combined the cute dachshunds from Furry and Bright and Joy to All with Santa’s sleigh from Ho-Ho-Holidays, then she layered everything on a snowflake stenciled backdrop!

Joyce started with Giant Merry Christmas for her adorable holiday card! Then she brought in the happy snowmen from Build-A-Snowman. Her simple background featured ink-blending and stenciled snowflakes!

Christy‘s adorable cards are perfect for making multiples with a clever mix of sets! She started with a Knit Picky Winter background, then she added Giant Sending Big Hugs. I love how she used the Ugly and Bright critters in their festive sweaters in place of the “I”, adding a cozy sentiment too!

Hooray, it’s an awesome birthday card! Mimi created this sweet design with Giant Hooray and Special Delivery. She also used images from Toucan Do It, Tiny Birthday Friends, Hay There (tiny speech bubble), Year Nine and Coaster Critters!

Franci kept her design simple to create a beautiful winter-themed card! She got inky on a Stitched Snowflake Backdrop panel before layering on Giant Let it Snow. As a final touch she added some Nuvo Drops in Simple White to the snowflakes.

Christy’s Crazy Antics Picnic!

It’s almost time to celebrate our new Fall & Winter Release! We can’t wait to show you all the fun new products we have coming out soon! Join us at the Lawn Fawn blog starting on September 2!

Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our Make the Sentiment the Star Challenge. I was itching to revisit the Crazy Antics stamp set again, but this time featuring those cute little ants! I also pulled in images from Unicorn Picnic and the dirt pile “ant hill” from A Bug Deal. I stamped all my images in Jet Black ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For my focal panel, I took the Meadow Backdrop: Portrait and die cut it out of some Bristol Smooth Surface cardstock. Using the Cloudy Stencil, I blended Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide into the sky. Then I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the grass. I also added some splatter effect for a little extra detail.

I adhered that to a Mermaid card base and spelled out the word ANTICS with Finley’s ABCs in both Raspberry and Chili Pepper cardstock and glued them together slightly off-set so that the Chili Pepper became the drop shadow. I adhered that across the sky, and white heat-embossed the rest of the sentiment onto a strip of Black Licorice cardstock. Then I filled in the rest of my scene with those adorable food-heisting picnic interlopers!

If you’d like to see how this card came together, I have a video tutorial for you on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty.

I hope I’ve inspired you to get crafty yourself and make the sentiment the star! We can’t wait to see what you create! The Make the Sentiment the Star challenge will be open until Sunday, September 6 at 11:59PM ET.

Wishing you all a happy, craft-filled weekend!
