Catherine‘s festive and fun design celebrates Hanukkah in cute critter style! She started with Giant Happy Hanukkah, then she used Love You a Latke images with the adorable mice! She found additional images in the Holiday Party Animal set!

Additional sets used: A Creature Was Stirring (jelly doughnuts and mouse), Merry Mice, Crazy Antics, Virtual Friends Add-On and Year Nine (candles).

To create the background, Catherine used Snowflake Background Hot Foil Plate for the silvery snowflakes. Then she added a layer of stenciled snowflakes using White Stencil Paste.

Samantha used Giant Let it Snow in glittery cardstock, making it the star of her card! She added the Snow One Like You sledders in place of the “O” for extra cuteness with a Stitched Ripple Backdrop snowy hill. Then she framed the scene with Snow Flurries in more glitter cardstock!

Karin‘s gorgeous card is so creative as well! Starting with Giant Sending Big Hugs, she made a Christmas greeting by adding a white embossed sentiment! Then she added gorgeous accents with a Let it Shine Snowflakes background and flowers from Magic Iris Birdhouse Add-On!

Not only did Samantha make her sentiment the star, but she also made it super fun and punny! Her custom greeting is a mix of Henry’s ABCs and Harold’s ABCs! She combined the cute dachshunds from Furry and Bright and Joy to All with Santa’s sleigh from Ho-Ho-Holidays, then she layered everything on a snowflake stenciled backdrop!

Joyce started with Giant Merry Christmas for her adorable holiday card! Then she brought in the happy snowmen from Build-A-Snowman. Her simple background featured ink-blending and stenciled snowflakes!

Christy‘s adorable cards are perfect for making multiples with a clever mix of sets! She started with a Knit Picky Winter background, then she added Giant Sending Big Hugs. I love how she used the Ugly and Bright critters in their festive sweaters in place of the “I”, adding a cozy sentiment too!

Hooray, it’s an awesome birthday card! Mimi created this sweet design with Giant Hooray and Special Delivery. She also used images from Toucan Do It, Tiny Birthday Friends, Hay There (tiny speech bubble), Year Nine and Coaster Critters!

Franci kept her design simple to create a beautiful winter-themed card! She got inky on a Stitched Snowflake Backdrop panel before layering on Giant Let it Snow. As a final touch she added some Nuvo Drops in Simple White to the snowflakes.

Christy’s Crazy Antics Picnic!

It’s almost time to celebrate our new Fall & Winter Release! We can’t wait to show you all the fun new products we have coming out soon! Join us at the Lawn Fawn blog starting on September 2!

Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our Make the Sentiment the Star Challenge. I was itching to revisit the Crazy Antics stamp set again, but this time featuring those cute little ants! I also pulled in images from Unicorn Picnic and the dirt pile “ant hill” from A Bug Deal. I stamped all my images in Jet Black ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For my focal panel, I took the Meadow Backdrop: Portrait and die cut it out of some Bristol Smooth Surface cardstock. Using the Cloudy Stencil, I blended Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide into the sky. Then I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the grass. I also added some splatter effect for a little extra detail.

I adhered that to a Mermaid card base and spelled out the word ANTICS with Finley’s ABCs in both Raspberry and Chili Pepper cardstock and glued them together slightly off-set so that the Chili Pepper became the drop shadow. I adhered that across the sky, and white heat-embossed the rest of the sentiment onto a strip of Black Licorice cardstock. Then I filled in the rest of my scene with those adorable food-heisting picnic interlopers!

If you’d like to see how this card came together, I have a video tutorial for you on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty.

I hope I’ve inspired you to get crafty yourself and make the sentiment the star! We can’t wait to see what you create! The Make the Sentiment the Star challenge will be open until Sunday, September 6 at 11:59PM ET.

Wishing you all a happy, craft-filled weekend!

We are so happy to welcome a super talented Guest Designer for this challenge! Say hello to Nancy van Oosten! You know her as @creastudionancy on Instagram and we are sure her amazing creativity has wowed and inspired you! You can also find her creativity at her blog and YouTube channel.

Nancy created a magical scene with a gorgeous color palette featuring Gnome Sweet Gnome, A Bug Deal and Fairy Friends! She filled out the landscape with Stitched Tree Borders and Mushroom Border! I love how she called attention to the Lucky Stars sentiment by framing it with the Stitched Rainbow! So very clever!

Now let’s check out some beautiful inspiration by our amazing Design Team!

Joyce filled this super happy card with lots of creative fun! She used Oliver’s Stitched ABCs to spell out part of the greeting, replacing the i with the cute jumping bunny from Really High Five!

Samantha‘s pretty card features lots of fun dies and one adorable little ant from Crazy Antics! This design has a Fancy Lattice Backdrop in neutral cardstock colors of Kraft and Paper Bag. The Scripty Hello and Stitched Speech Bubble Frame are cut from Vanilla Malt cardstock to continue the neutral colors. Samantha backed the speech bubble with vellum to allow the greeting to stand out!

It doesn’t get much more charming than Franci‘s Dandy Day design! She spelled out “hello” with Finley’s ABCs die cuts and framed it all with a Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frame!

Christy‘s Scripty Hugs greeting blends seamlessly into the inky background of her amazing Ocean Shell-fie card! She used Large Slimline Sliders and Slimline Stitched Hillside Borders to create this long underwater scene! I love how she combined a sweet sentiment from Mom + Me with the die cut word!

Karin‘s delightful design uses a fun image from Fortune Teller Tabby that calls attention to the sentiment! Her beautiful inky background and die cut stars add to the mysterious look of this beautiful card!

Caly‘s joyful design combines Happy Village with Village Heroes in a slimline design on a stenciled cloud backdrop! The charming greeting is a combination of Scripty Sweet and Oliver’s Stitched ABCs.

Samantha‘s awesome Halloween design spells out BOO using Oliver’s Stitched ABCs! I love how she dressed the letters up with in costumes from Booyah! To make the cool background she used the inside part from a Stitched Cloud Frame as a mask to do some fantastic ink blending!

Jessica created a custom greeting from an inspirational quote! She spelled it out with Finley’s ABCs dies and Milo’s ABCs white heat-embossed on the cool galaxy backdrop! The Out of This World and Upon a Star images add lots of cuteness to this special card!

Jenn‘s cards are filled with bold, bright colors from alcohol inks! The beautiful design features a simple die cut hello that is found in the Magic Color Slider die set.

We will share Design Team inspiration for you over the next 3 weeks and we’ll announce our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 82 tomorrow!
