Jessica’s Happy Halloween Inspiration!

Our Halloween/Fall Inspiration challenge will close this Sunday, October 18th at 11:59PM ET. Happy Crafting Fawnatics Friends!

Good morning!  Jess here with a card for our current Halloween/Fall inspiration challenge!  I used three of the photos as inspiration for my spooky scene today!

To start I blended black soot distress oxide ink over the cloud stencil on a panel of Strathmore Bristol smooth cardstock to create my sky.  I used a blending brush to keep my blending very light.  I die-cut a circle from Strathmore Bristol smooth cardstock and blended squeezed lemonade and mustard seed distress oxide ink over the circle to create my moon.  I splattered it with water and blotted off the excess to give it a little texture.  Next I die-cut the Stitched Tree Borders from Black Licorice cardstock and the Little Town Border from Black Licorice and Sunflower cardstock.  I adhered my moon to the background and then added the tree and town.  Then I inlaid the little windows and doors to recreate the skies and glowing windows from the inspiration photo!

Next I stamped images from Fox Costumes Before ‘n Afters, Costume Party, and Happy Harvest with Versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder.  I colored them with Copic markers and then die-cut them with the coordinating dies.  I added a few accents with a white gel pen and then added them to my scene with a mix of regular adhesive and foam mounting tape.  I finished the card with a sentiment from Costume Party stamped and heat-embossed with white embossing powder!

And that’s it!  You have one more weekend to get crafty and I can’t wait to see what you’ll create!  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic weekend!

  1. Oh wow, this is just gorgeous … love the bold boy and pumpkins contrasted with the rest of the card. And that sky is so spooky !
