Hi Friends! It’s Caly with you today, sharing an interactive card for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge!  The current theme uses the photo below as inspiration. This theme runs through Sunday September 19^th at 11:59pm PT. We hope you’ll get the chance to participate before it’s over!

I was inspired by the image to create a sky scene.  So I water-colored a background to replicate the inspiration board using Daniel Smith watercolors.  Once it was dry, I splattered the panel with white paint to give it more interest to imitate stars.

While my background was drying, I stamped and colored images from the Super Star and Upon A Star sets.  I used Copic markers to color my images before die-cutting them out to begin my interactive mechanism for this card.

        Telescope:  C0, C3, C6

        Star:  Y00, Y15, YR23

        Blush: R30

I die-cut clouds using the Puffy Cloud Borders in both white cardstock and vellum to layer them for interest and to hide my Swish n’ Pop Pull-Tab mechanism.  Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn YouTube channel to see how the mechanism is put together – it’s really easy!

I used a shooting star for my moving image and embossed the tail lines on vellum using white embossing powder.  Once my mechanism was put together, I attached my images to create my scene.

I finished today’s card by embossing a sentiment in white over black cardstock.  I love interactive cards and hope you like this one!  Thanks so much for visiting!  You still have a few days to participate and I hope you will make some time to create!
