Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 128 – Christmas in July

It’s Christmas in July! Everyone loves making holiday cards so here’s a challenge to help you get a jump on Christmas! Create with traditional Christmas designs or take the holidays to the beach or tropical locales!

We invite you to share your creativity by linking up your crafty projects at the end of this post! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies, stencils and papers. This challenge will run for 2 weeks and be open until Sunday, July 17th at 11:59PM ET.

For each challenge, we will randomly select an entry to receive a $50.00 gift certificate to the Lawn Fawn shop! Everyone who enters a challenge has a chance to be the random drawing winner! Woohoo!

We will also be highlighting a few of your fabulous projects at the close of each challenge! By linking your projects to our challenges, you will give permission for us to post your work to this blog and our social media sites. Check out the How to Play page for a few guidelines to play along. We want this to be FUN, so we’ll keep the rules to just a few!

Design Team Inspiration

Samantha combined some fun sets to create a whimsical barnyard scene! She cleverly started with Stitched Garden Border to create snowdrifts. Then she used Build-A-Barn in shimmery and sparkly cardstock for holiday bling! Finally, she assembled the cute images from Baaah Humbug, Christmas Dreams, Yeti or Not and Ready Set Snow!

The Simply Celebrate Critters birds are joined by the birds from Open Me to wish a Giant Merry Christmas on Joyce‘s adorable mini slimline card! For the background she ink-blended with Tumbled Glass and Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink. Then she added texture and detail by cutting the giant greeting from woodgrain cardstock and adding a snowy look with Pixie Dust Sparkle cardstock.

Santa is celebrating a tropical Christmas here in Mimi‘s brilliant design! The cute Santa from Ho-Ho-Holidays is taking a ride on the Flamingo Floatie while the reindeer from Say What? Christmas Critters is looking cool on the island! She also used Hammock and Trees, Life is Good, Furry and Bright, Penguin Party, Cheery Christmas, Toboggan Together and Pool Party.

Christy takes us to a Christmas celebration under the sea with Christmas Fishes and Mermaid for You! She used Stitched Ripple Backdrop and gold metallic watercolor splatters to create the amazing background!

Cheery Deer is the star of Franci‘s simply adorable card! She used Stitched Snowflake Backdrop then layered the sweet little scene on an All the Dots panel.

Stenciled snowflakes and cuddly bears from Den Sweet Den and Winter Skies are the stars of Samantha‘s lovely card! She inked the top of her card panel with warm shades of Distress inks, then she added the Snowflake Background Stencils with White Stencil Paste. As a final touch, she stamped Santa’s sleigh on vellum to add to the sky.

Oh, What Fun! Karin‘s charming shaker card features Winter Village and Oh What Fun! She added sweet detail with a Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frame.

It’s an amazing Christmas in the desert! Catherine used Plant-A-Succulent and Tiny Gift Box Goat and Llama Add-On to bring her amazing idea to life! She used Mini String of Lights, Puffy Star Stackables and Stitched Ornaments to add all the festive holiday fun! Stitched Scalloped Borders create the layered background and also the scallops on the cactus planters.

Jenn created a happy design with Cheery Deer and Winter Scripty Sentiments! I love pastel shades of pink and green that make this so trendy and of course there’s gold sparkle cardstock on the Rooftop Border too!

We will share more Design Team inspiration for you over the next 2 weeks and we’ll announce our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 127 – Summertime Fun tomorrow! Now it’s time for you to put on some holiday music and create Christmas in July!
