Lawn Fawnatics 230 – Fairy Tale Magic

Once upon a time, there was a challenge so enchanting that it inspired the entire kingdom of Crafty Land to join in! Introducing our first-ever Fairy Tale Magic Challenge! Now is the time to pull out all those mythical creature stamps and dies, like fairies, dragons, unicorns, mermaids, and more! Bring on the pretend play with magical costumes, or recreate your favorite fairy tales! Let your imagination fly!

We invite you to share your creativity by linking up your own creations at the end of this post! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies, stencils, and papers. This challenge will run for 2 weeks and be open until Sunday, October 18th, at 11:59 pm ET.

For each challenge, we will randomly select an entry to receive a $50.00 gift certificate to the Lawn Fawn shop! Everyone who enters has a chance to be the random winner! Yay!

We will also be highlighting a few of your fabulous projects at the close of each challenge! By linking your projects below, you give us permission to post your work to this blog and our social media sites. Check out the How to Play page for a few guidelines. We want this to be FUN, so we’ll keep the rules to just a few!

Design Team Inspiration

Sophie‘s Platform Pop-up with the Platform Pop-up Cloud Wrap Around and inserts could not be more magical! The Fairy Friends dwell with the unicorns from Unicorn Picnic at her Life Is Good castle in the sky. Even the Little Dragon Flip-flop is welcome and on his way for a visit!

The story of Cinderella is recreated in vivid detail on Mayra‘s incredible card. It combines images from Sew Very Mice, Bubbles of Joy, A Creature Was Stirring, and Halloween Mice. Her carriage brings together Stitched Pumpkins with the wheels from Build-A-Wheelbarrow! So clever! The large sentiment from More Magic Messages is the perfect finishing touch.

Franci tells the tale of The Frog Prince with her sweet card. The Tiny Gift Box Frog Add-on looks so happy to have found the magical elixir inside the Build-A-Potion Bottle. The Embroidery Hoop Window and Frame Add-on pulls focus to the center, and her sentiments are a combination of Hocus Purr-cus! and the I Like Cute Moths Add-on.

Mimi‘s magical Mermaid For You scene takes place in an underwater world viewed from the Secret Garden Window. With additional friends from Simply Celebrate More Critters, and kelp from Christmas Fishes, you almost feel like you could swim right in!

Joyce‘s bookmark declares that books are the true magic! It combines the Dream Big stamp set with the perfectly coordinated Dream Big Add-on. For extra interest, she used the Lots of Stars Background Stencils over colored cardstock and added Purple Hemp Twine.

It’s pumpkin harvest time on Samantha Casey‘s card. The gnomes from Oh Gnome! are working together with the squirrels from Pick of the Patch. I wonder if they’ll be carving jack-o’-lanterns or baking sweet treats? Her background uses the Riverside Backdrop: Landscape with clouds from Meadow Backdrop: Portrait.

Samantha Mann is sending lots of love with her dreamy card. The Cloudy Stencil makes a perfect place for her unicorns from Unicorn Picnic and A Little Sparkle to rest and read their Special Delivery letters!

When your TBR (to be read) pile becomes a TBR hoard, you’re no longer considered a bookworm, but a book dragon! Christy‘s card brings together Little Dragon with Hocus Purr-cus, the Hocus Purr-cus Add-on, Purrfectly Wicked, and Little Woodland Library Friends. And every book dragon needs a light to read by, so he borrowed the lantern from I Like Cute Moths. If you would like to see how this card came together, you can check out her video tutorial HERE on her YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty!
