Samantha Mann‘s serene scene takes us on a walk through the snowy woods!

It’s Samantha M. here! The current challenge is critters and the holidays, and I couldn’t resist making a card with the adorable birds!
I stamped and colored the images from Winter Birds, Winter Birds Add-on and Flappy Holiday with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Then I added some details with a white gel pen and one the images were all dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out.

For the background, I used the Birch Tree Stencils and some Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Ink to ink blend a subtle tree background. Then I used the new Snowflakes Stencil with white stencil paste to add the snowy texture.
The sentiment was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and then die cut with the Stitched Sentiment Banners. I also die cut some of the snowy hills with the Stitched Hillside Borders. I really LOVE the pops of reds and greens against the neutral background.

We love it too! Thanks so much for this stunning inspiration Samantha!

Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our Critters Celebrate the Holidays Challenge! I came up with a bit of a crazy concept for this one, and I pulled together a whole bunch of stamp sets to bring it to life. I wanted to capture a critter celebration that I hadn’t really seen before, and decided on penguins at their disco Christmas party! I used Penguin Party, Snow Cool, Toboggan Together, Beary Happy Holidays, Cheesy Christmas, Really High Five, Winter Birds, Unicorn Picnic, and Simply Celebrate Hangouts. Whew! I colored all the images with Copic markers and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For my focal panel, I cut down a piece of Bristol with the largest Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and blended on Distress Oxide Inks. I used Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar with the Sunray Background Stencil for the light from the disco ball and Salvaged Patina and Shaded Lilac and the Brick Stencil for the walls of the igloo and the ice floor. I also stamped a sentiment across the bottom in black ink. I glued the focal panel to a Hyacinth card base, then adhered my images with a mix of foam tape and liquid glue. And of course, I finished off the card with a lot of Stardust Stickles.

If you’d like to see the whole process of this card’s creation, you can check out the video tutorial HERE on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty. I hope you enjoy it! We can’t wait to see what you create for our Critters Celebrate the Holidays Challenge. Have a really cool day!

Mimi‘s mice are getting merry and bright for the holidays!

Her sweet card combines Merry Mice and Cheesy Christmas, with a few accessory images from A Creature Was Stirring and the Special Delivery Box Add-on. And she’s used the Christmas Ornaments Washi Tape in a clever way, as a garland that the two mice on the stools are hanging!

Her panel was trimmed down with an Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackable with a peek of patterned paper from the Favorite Flannel Petite Paper Pack giving it a homey touch.

Thank you so much for the darling inspiration, Mimi!
