Design Team Inspiration

Samantha‘s delightful card is inspired by the movie “Elf”! She combined images from Holiday Helpers, Penguin Party and the cute narwhal from Critters in the Arctic! She set the scene with Stitched Mountain Borders and Snowflake Background Stencils. She spelled out a catch phrase from the movie using Harold’s ABCs.

The song “Driving Home for Christmas” by Chris Rea was Joyce‘s inspiration! She used Car Critters with the Car Critters Christmas Add-On to convey the lyrics of the song. In the background she stenciled Birch Trees. Then she added a greeting with Henry’s ABCs and Car Critters Christmas Add-On sentiments.

Christy‘s favorite holiday movie is “Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer”! She illustrated a scene from the movie using Simply Celebrate Winter Critters as “all of the other reindeer”, and Ho-Ho-Holidays to add Santa and Rudolph! Then she used Snowball Fight, Yeti or Not and the Over the Mountain Borders to add frosty scenery.

Catherine used a Purrfectly Wicked cat to stand in for the “Grinch Who Stole Christmas”! Her clever Platform Pop-Up card also features the border of winter houses from Simply Celebrate Winter. The Grinch’s faithful dog Max is from Simply Celebrate Critters and his antler hat is from Furry and Bright. She also used images from Toboggan Together, Ho-Ho-Holidays, Christmas Dreams and Cheery Christmas!

It won’t take long for this whimsical and quirky holiday song to be stuck in your head, playing on a loop. Samantha‘s scene so brilliantly portrays “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas” with Joy to All, Christmas Dreams, Den Sweet Den and Tiny Gingerbread. The star of the song is from our mini, Year Four birthday set.

Mimi was also inspired by the movie “Elf”! Her scene from the North Pole features Holiday Helpers as the elves! Her narwhal is from Simply Celebrate Winter Critters and the cabin and trees are from Winter Village. I love how she used Christmas Tree Lot Foiled Washi to fill in the forest in the background! Other sets used in the fun scene are Snowball Fight, Cheery Christmas and Tiny Winter Friends.

Franci is inspired by the song “Let it Snow”! She combined Giant Let it Snow and a pair of Wild Wolves to create a frosty and fun shaker card!

Karin‘s favorite song, like Joyce, is “Driving Home for Christmas”. Again, Car Critters and Car Critters Christmas Add-On are the perfect sets to illustrate this song! Karin kept her design beautifully clean and simple!

Jenn used the Henry’s ABCs and Smitty’s ABCs to spell out the name of her favorite holiday song and movie! Her inky pink background features Stitched Windy Backdrop. Rudolph is from Toboggan Together and the sign is from Penguin Party! The sweet little musical note speech bubble is from Peas on Earth!

Orange you glad Samantha used orange for this awesome monochromatic Halloween card? She combined Stripes ‘n Sprinkles paper with a Watercolor Wishes Mushroom Border to set the stage for fun! She colored images from Pick of the Patch, Let’s Go Nuts, So Owlsome, Wild Wolves, Fangtastic Friends Add-On and Tea-rrific Day in shades of orange with lots of shading.

Like two peas in a pod, Mimi‘s pop-up card is so adorable! She combined patterned papers in shades of green to build the Platform Pop-Up, including the Platform Pop-Up Add-On. Then the cute peas and pods from Be Hap-pea were colored in bright green and arranged with Tropical Vine Borders and foliage from Secret Garden Window!

Catherine‘s purple Halloween card is just too much fun! She used Spooky Forest Backdrop, Stitched Pumpkins and Wolf Before ‘n Afters for the scene. Then she added hot foiled Starry Sky Background and a Louie’s ABCs greeting!

Joyce‘s “ghostly greetings” come in shades of black and gray! The border of ghosties is found in Simply Celebrate Fall and the sentiment is from Spooky Village. She added design elements with Lots of Stars Background Stencils and a Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frame.

Karin‘s beautiful card sends rosy hued birthday greetings! Her simple ink blended design features Giant Outlined Happy Birthday: Landscape!

Perfect for sending a joy-filled greeting, Franci‘s wintry card features Winter Birds, Spooky Forest Backdrop and Scripty Joy!

The squirrels from Let’s Go Nuts are sending a playful birthday greeting in rusty brown colors. Christy used the branches from Winter Birds to create this happy design! The background inking is a blend of Crackling Campfire and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink.

Samantha‘s beautiful Christmas card features Simple Stripes: Diagonal in shades of red from chili pepper to apricot! She lined up the colorful stripes before stenciling the Snowflake Trio with White Stencil Paste. Then she finished her design with an inky Scripty Wishes and sentiment from Den Sweet Den.

Jenn also used a mix of red shades in a pastel palette! Her lovely Halloween design features Simply Celebrate Fall, Celebration Scripty Sentiments, Moon and Stars Backdrop: Landscape, and stars from Hearts and Stars Skinny Tag!

Giant Happy Fall is in the spotlight on Catherine‘s gorgeous card! With Fall Leaves Backdrop layered on Spiffier Speckles in Yeti, Stitched Pumpkins and a cute squirrel this card sends a happy message! And those pastel pumpkins are everything, so beautiful!

Christy‘s lovely card sends a message of thanks with a pretty Fall floral arrangement! Her sentiment is a combination of Scripty Thanks and Reveal Wheel Sentiments. She filled the Thanks a Latte mug with flowers from Our Friendship Grows, Fairy Friends and Frosty Fairy Friends! Then she added some beautifully colored Autumn leaves from Scripty Autumn Sentiments.

Franci‘s fabulous Halloween card features Giant Trick or Treat and some adorable jack o’ lanterns! She stamped cute faces on the Stitched Pumpkins using Thanks a Latte. She layered the sentiment and pumpkins on an inked panel of Spiffier Speckles 6×6 paper!

Joyce used our Christmas Before ‘n Afters mice to make a card perfect for Valentine’s Day, an anniversary or any day to send some love! She also used Giant XOXO and Lots of Hearts Background Stencils to create this sweet card!

Karin‘s beautiful birthday card combines Spring Flowers Backdrop with Scripty Love. She stamped out Happy Birthday with stamps from Reveal Wheel Sentiments and Reveal Wheel Spring Sentiments!

Mimi spelled out her Howl-o-ween message with shimmery Finley’s ABCs on a background inked and stenciled with Nighttime Sky Stencil! Then she added cute images from Wild Wolves and Tiny Halloween!

The sweet Frosty Fairy Friends complement Giant Let it Snow so well! Samantha created this beautiful card with a Stitched Scalloped Square Frame and pretty Watercolor Wishes and Stripes ‘n Sprinkles papers!

You knew Samantha would bring the punny sentiment! She didn’t disappoint with this fun design! Her sentiment is spelled with Henry’s ABCs on a backdrop that is inked and stenciled with Lots of Stars Background Stencils. The adorable limes are from You’re the Zest and their party hats and balloons are from Party Animal. And those adorable little legs are from Be Hap-pea.

Jenn‘s Halloween card is so much fun! She used a bit of “hocus pocus” for her Quinn’s ABCs sentiment, swapping out the o with the cauldron from Purrfectly Wicked! Then she added a Purrfectly Wicked cat and a dog from Happy Howloween.

Her background is water-colored with Gansai Tambi Gem Color watercolors on Distress BLACK heavy stock cardstock. And it wouldn’t be a “Jenn card” without some Prisma and Chunky glitters!
