Caly’s Magic Picture Changer Birthday Card

Hi Friends! It’s Caly with you today and we’re continuing to celebrate Lawn Fawn’s 10th birthday with the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Birthday Theme! Today’s card features the Magic Picture Changer using the Birthday Before ‘n Afters set as well as the Baked With Love set.

I started by stamping and coloring my images. For the magic picture changer images, I stamped a second time on masking paper and masked off my images to ink-blend the backgrounds with Cracked Pistachio, Tumbled Glass, and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Inks before removing and coloring with Copic markers.

Copics used:
Cake: E50, E53
Pinks: R81, R83, R85, R89
Oranges/Yellows: Y02, Y35, YR68
Greens: YG05, YG09
Teals: BG11, BG13
Blues: BG01, BG05
Purples: V05, V09
Grays: C0, C2, C4

Once everything was colored, I die-cut my images and Magic Picture Changer and assembled using 1/8” strong double sided adhesive. To frame my magic picture changer and for the background, I used patterned paper from the Hello Sunshine Remix Petite Paper Pack.

I love the cake changing from an uncut cake to a slice taken out to reveal the rainbow layers! I added foam adhesive to the back of the Magic Picture Changer and adhered it over a second piece of patterned paper from the same paper pack that coordinated with the first piece that I used. I die-cut a stitched pattern around the outside using the Outside In Stitched Rectangles dies.

To complete my card today, I embossed my sentiment over Mermaid cardstock using white cardstock. To help give it more color, I ink-blended Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink at the ends of my sentiment strips before adhering them to my card.

I hope you enjoyed this card! I always have so much fun making interactive cards with Lawn Fawn’s clever dies! Don’t forget that this challenge ends April 5th at 11:59pm PST! There’s still some time to celebrate Lawn Fawn’s birthday with us!

Have a great day, everyone!
