Christy’s Cute Card Remake!

Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our CASE Yourself Challenge! This one was so fun for me because it gives us the opportunity to look back at cards we’ve made in the past and use them as a jumping off point for a new creation!

For today’s project, I went back to a card I made nearly two years ago, but always loved the layout and the opportunity to mix some patterned papers. That card had a bright, Spring-time garden vibe, but this time I wanted to go for a dustier color palette and some more prickly plants. So I pulled out the new Llama Tell You, plus an old favorite, Stuck On You.

I stamped two of the large cacti with Jalapeño ink, and one of the smaller in Sage Leaf. I also stamped my Llama with Jet Black ink and colored him with Copic markers, giving him swirls in his fur and a cute striped blanket on his back for that western feel. Then I trimmed all my images out with the matching dies.

For the focal panel, I cut down a piece of Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock with the Stitched Journaling Card die, then sponged on some distress ink with a cloud stencil for a sunset sky. I layered on two panels of Kraft cardstock die cut with the Stitched Wave Borders, for some rough terrain. I stamped my sentiment on the bottom one with Walnut ink, then adhered my images with liquid glue.

My card base was trimmed to a standard A2 size from a piece of the new Sage Leaf cardstock. On that I layered my patterned papers. I cut the pieces that cover the card front with the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables, and added a Stitched Scalloped Border where the two meet. Then I adhered the focal panel with foam tape. To finish off the card, I did some more stamping on the  inside with Sage Leaf ink, which you can check out in the video on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty.

There is plenty of time to play along in our CASE Yourself Challenge! It will be open until Sunday March, 31 at 11:59PM ET. I can’t wait to see what you create!

There are so many of your entries that we would love to share but the photos you’ve linked us to are either too small or they don’t have enough space around them to allow for a consistent look on the blog. Here are some tips for uploading photos that we can share as Featured Fawnatics!

-Set up your photo with some space all around your project to allow for us to crop as needed
-Make sure your photos are at least 1000 pixels wide (we prefer sharing photos that are uniform in size)
-Use a light color as the backdrop for your photos; this helps your cards and crafts to stand out

Thank you for sharing your amazing creativity with us each month. We appreciate it so much! If you have any questions about uploading photos, please leave them in the comments below.

Happy Crafting from your friends at Lawn Fawnatics!

Grace Remakes a Cute Reveal Wheel Card

Grace joins us today with a fun remake of a bubbly Reveal Wheel card! In the original welcome baby card she filled the Reveal Wheel window with bubbles and showed the baby elephant taking a bubble bath!

In the remake, Grace switched up the supporting cast of critters along with showing a new activity that has the elephant blowing bubbles with her trunk! Such a clever idea to use the butterfly net as the bubble wand!

Another fun twist for this CASE card is that Grace used mirror stamping so the two Elphie Selfie elephants can be facing the other way! The Butterfly Kisses fox and the sweet little ducks from Rub-A-Dub-Dub are having fun chasing the bubbles!

Grace added the white heat-embossed greeting (thinking of you) from Spanish Scripty Sayings on an ink blended Simple Grassy Hillside and created a lovely cloud-filled sky to finish her design!

Thank you for sharing this adorable project with us today, Grace! I hope it will inspire lots of creativity!
