Mimi let her imagination go to fun places as she created this Card Sketch inspiration for you! Her brilliant design features Wood You Be Mine?! She will explain her process in her own words.

I die cut the Meadow backdrop and trimmed off the top grass portion. Then I ink blended with Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide ink and splattered some Rustic Wilderness ink as well.

I also ink blended a short strip for the top of the card with same colors and blended the edges with Walnut Stain distress oxide ink.

For the circular part of the card sketch, I created a beaver dam using the Fruit Basket die for my frame. I trimmed the middle of the fruit basket die off. Ink blended with Walnut Stain distress ink. I also inked blended a small piece with Walnut Stain distress ink to put behind the dam.

I stamped many branches from Jump for Joy in Doe and Walnut dye ink and cut out using the coordinating dies. Then I layered the branches over the fruit basket frame. I added a few tiny branches with leaves from the new Wood You Be Mine as well.

I die cut 2 pieces of the Large Stitched Rectangle. With one of the rectangle pieces, I trimmed in half and ink blended both with Prize Ribbon distress oxide ink. Next, I heat embossed the waves (from Wood You Be Mine?) with white embossing powder. Then I stamped 2 lakes from Dad + Me with Prize Ribbon distress oxide ink to border the beaver dam.

I wanted the heart that the two beavers were holding to be wood-like, so I masked off the beavers and stamped the Woodgrain Backdrops to the heart. The sentiment was also heat embossed with white embossing powder. As a final touch I accented images with white gel pen.

Thank you so much, Mimi for sharing your cute and clever inspiration with us today!

Samantha’s Cute Sloth Valentine

We invite you to share your creativity by linking up your crafty projects at the Lots of Heart challenge post! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies and papers. The Lots of Heart challenge will run for 3 weeks and be open until Sunday, February 6th at 11:59PM ET.

Samantha is with us today with inspiration that’s adorable and full of heart!

Samantha chose our cute sloths from I Like Naps and Hang in There to star in her beautiful design! She colored them with Zig Clean Color Brush markers and fussy cut them out.

For the heart she used an Outside In Stitched Heart which she inked then stenciled with the Starry Sky Stencil. After layering the sloths on the heart, she added it to a panel stamped with Woodgrain Backdrops. She finished the card with a white embossed sentiment from I Like Naps!

Thanks so much for sharing with us today, Samantha!

Samantha’s Gorgeous Inspiration

Our Happy New Year Inspiration Board Challenge 115 will be open until Sunday, January 2nd at 11:59PM ET. We hope the beautiful photos and theme will inspire you and you will join us! Click HERE to go to the challenge post to enter your project!

Samantha is here today to share her gorgeous card inspired by our new challenge!

Samantha took her inspiration from the bottom left photo. She created a beautiful card with a woodgrain pattern. She stared by ink-blending a panel of white cardstock with Distress Oxide inks in Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo. Then she added gold watercolor splatters. Then once the background was dry, Samantha stamped Woodgrain Backdrops with Walnut Stain Distress ink.

Then she used White Stencil Paste to add the Snowflake Trio Stencils over the woodgrain. While that was drying, she heat-embossed the sentiment from Snowy Backdrops in white on a vellum Fancy Wavy Banner. After attaching the sentiment banner, the final touch was a few clear sequins!

Thank you so much, Samantha! Your take on the Inspiration Board is so beautiful!
