Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 49 – CASE Yourself

Wow! How do we follow up after our last challenge got so much buzz? For this new challenge we want you to be inspired by…YOU! For those who may be wondering what CASE means, it stands for “copy and selectively edit”.  So to CASE yourself, choose a favorite project and remake it in a new way; or let a design that you want to improve upon inspire you! However you choose just let us see the original project along with the remake! Your projects should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies and papers. This challenge will be open until Sunday, March 31 at 11:59PM ET.

For each challenge, we will randomly select a winner to receive a $25.00 gift certificate to the Lawn Fawn shop! We will also be highlighting a few of your fabulous projects at the close of each challenge! By linking your projects to our challenges you will give permission for us to post your work to this blog and our social media sites. Check out the How to Play page for a few guidelines to play along. We want this to be FUN so we’ll keep the rules to just a few!

Now let’s see how our amazing Design Team was inspired to CASE themselves!

Franci made a card that features Hay There in an Outside In Stitched Heart based on her Winter Otter card design!

Karin recreated her cute penguin and Tiny Tag birthday card using Wild for You and a different shape of Tiny Tag!

Samantha C kept her magic in a jar theme with How You Bean? by switching out the Fairy Friends for our new Oh Gnome! set and a our older Gnome Sweet Gnome!

For her Chirpy Chirp Chirp remake, Joyce substituted bright, bold colors for the original soft pastel color palette!

Grace altered her colorful original Let’s Toast design by adding some white embossing on acetate and featuring Oh Gnome! with Scripty Thanks!

Christy brought her mini scene out of the ocean and into the meadow with Butterfly Kisses and swapped the patterned papers for Spring Fling!

Samantha M recreated her card set from April 2018 by swapping out the Gleeful Gardens hummingbird for a sweet Fairy Friend!

We will have Design Team inspiration for you over the next 2 weeks and of course we’ll share our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 48 tomorrow!

Franci’s Otterly Adorable Card!

Hello there! Franci here with you today with an otterly cute card inspired by the current Color Inspiration Mood Board challenge! The current challenge will be open until Sunday February 17th at 11:59PM ET. I hope you will join us!

To make this card, I started with a Dotted Rectangle panel and die cut the heart with an Outside In Stitched Heart to create the window. I splattered gold paint on a lilac Watercolor Wishes panel and layered it behind the heart.

Next, I stamped the cute Winter Otter with Jet Black ink, colored with Copic markers and used the coordinating die to cut it out. After adding some cute details with white gel pen I attached the little otter with foam adhesive to the center of the heart! To finish my card, I stamped the sentiment added some sequins and a gold glitter heart!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Jessica’s Winter Otter Card

Good morning! Jess here with an alcohol inked card for our current Happy Little Critters challenge!

To start I stamped the adorable otters from Winter Otter with Versafine black ink and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. I colored them with Copic markers and then die-cut them with the coordinating dies. I also stamped the sentiment onto Black Licorice cardstock with Clear Embossing Ink and heat-embossed them with white embossing powder. I trimmed those down to thin labels and set them aside while I worked on the background.

Next I created a background by pouring a little Copic blending solution onto a piece of Yupo paper. Then I added drops of B60, B63, and B66 Copic refills and tilted the paper until the drops blended together and ran off the edge of the page. I thought this created a really pretty ocean for my otters! Once it dried completely I added thin lines of glue on the alcohol ink and sprinkled them with Prisma glitter. Finally I added my otters and sentiment with foam mounting tape and then added a little Prisma and Chunky glitter to the otters’ scarves to finish the card!

And that’s it! You have one more week to get crafty and I can’t wait to see your happy little critters! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous weekend!
