Caly’s Toadally Awesome Interactive Scene!

Hi Friends! Caly here! The current challenge theme is Create A Scene and I think it’s a fun one that many will love.  This challenge runs through May 2nd, 2021 at 11:59PM ET so be sure to link up your projects!  I hope my card today inspires you.  I love interactive cards and had fun creating this Toadally Awesome card!

I began by stamping and coloring my Toadally Awesome images with Copic markers.
Pinks:  RV21, RV23, RV29, R20
Greens:  [G12, G14, G09], [YG05, YG09, G09]
Blues:  B000, B02
Browns:  E31, E34, E37

After coloring and die-cutting my images, I worked on my scene first by creating my background.  I used the Scene Builder Stencils: Bayou to ink-blend, first the vine with Noble Fir Ink, then the leaves with Jalapeno ink.  Then to add more color, I ink-blended a layer of Merman ink over the bayou canopy.

I needed to create a pond piece that would cover the interactive mechanism, so I die-cut a piece of Moonstone cardstock using a stipple die from the Palm Tree Border die.  I then ink-blended it to add some depth using Fish Tank ink.

If you haven’t seen the Intro to Swish ‘n Pop video, be sure to check it out!  It’s a great video showing you how to use the interactive Swish ‘n Pop Pull-Tab dies! After putting together my mechanism, I put my pond panel over it to cover it up.

I filled my scene with all the colored images and made it so that one of the frogs jumps from the log into the pond.  I hope it makes you smile as much as it makes me smile!  I had so much fun creating this scene!

Don’t forget to link up your projects to the current Challenge Post!  Thanks so much for visiting today! ~Caly

A Toadally Awesome Baby Card with Samantha!

Samantha shares an adorable card to welcome a new baby! It’s Toadally Awesome inspiration for our Outstanding Occasions challenge!

To create this charming scene, Samantha started with a panel of pastel green Sparkle cardstock from the Spring pack. I love how it looks like grass. Then she die cut the Stitched Pond Frame from both Watercolor Wishes and Spiffy Speckles 6×6 paper for the pond.

She stamped images from Toadally Awesome in Jet Black ink, then colored them with Copic markers. She used Lawn Fawn Glue Tube to attach the images after arranging them in a super cute scene! To finish the card, Samantha added a sweet greeting in Oliver’s Stitched ABCs and more Watercolor Wishes 6×6 paper.

Thank you so much for sharing this delightful inspiration with us today, Samantha!
