Caly’s Adorable Build-A-House Card

Hi Friends! This is Caly and I’m sharing a card for our current challenge (#65) – Fun with Dies! I’ve combined several dies for my card today to create a Build-A-House Christmas Reveal Wheel card.

The background of my card today uses the Snow Day Remix Petite Paper Pack. I love the little bunnies and trees on this card. I could cover them up with my house, so what I didn’t use from my page, I fussy cut so I could add to my snowy scene.

I die-cut all of my elements in white and colored cardstock before assembling. The Reveal Wheel is die-cut from the Snow Day Remix paper. I placed my die over the area I wanted to use and traced with a pencil before ink-blended around the top with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink to give it more shading before die-cutting. I did this before instead of after to prevent the harsh edges from ink-blending. I also die-cut the Reveal Wheel Build-A-House Add-On in this step to create the window as well.

Next, I die-cut my Build-A-House and Christmas Add-On elements. I was inspired by my own house colors for this card – light gray with dark window frames and white trim. The Christmas lights are die-cut in white and colored with Copic markers. I also stamped images from Tiny Christmas for my reveal wheel mechanism and the Christmas tree in the lower window of the house using a stamp from the Yeti or Not stamp set.
Copic markers: Browns: E51, E31, E35, E37, E04; Blues: B01, B16, B18; Reds: RV11, R22, R27; Greens: G21, G24, G28; Yellows: Y000, Y08; Gray: C6

After adhering everything to my card and constructing the reveal wheel mechanism, I stamped my sentiments and added foam adhesive to my top panel before sealing the reveal wheel in place. To give my card a bit more interest, I embellished my light bulbs and wreath with some Star Dust Stickles, then added white gel high-lights on my house and added more snowfall to my scene.

I hope you enjoyed this card! Don’t forget the Fun with Dies challenge ends this Sunday, December 1st at 11:59 ET. There’s lots of time to play along so I hope you’re inspired to create!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

A Tiny Autumn Scene by Karin!

Karin joins us today with an adorable “tiny” Fall scene for our Awesome Autumn challenge! This is the last weekend to join this challenge!

Karin created this sweet Fall scene by combining Tree Before ‘n Afters with small trees and pumpkins from Spooky Village and the little girl from Tiny Christmas! She framed the little scene with a Stitched Scalloped Circle Frame and added the picket fence from Scalloped Treat Box Spring Add-On! The white on white design makes the sweet little scene pop!

Karin used a full stick Post-it Note to mask the trees and create the horizon to ink the background sky and grass!

Thank you, Karin for sharing this totally adorable inspiration today!
