Christy’s Wild Wolves Monochromatic Inspiration

You are invited to share your creativity by linking up your crafty projects at the end of this post! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies, stencils and papers. This challenge will run for 3 weeks and be open until Sunday, November 5 at 11:59PM ET.

For each challenge, we will randomly select an entry to receive a $50.00 gift certificate to the Lawn Fawn shop! Everyone who enters a challenge has a chance to be the random drawing winner! Woohoo!

We will also be highlighting a few of your fabulous projects at the close of each challenge! By linking your projects to our challenges, you will give permission for us to post your work to this blog and our social media sites. Check out the How to Play page for a few guidelines to play along. We want this to be FUN, so we’ll keep the rules to just a few!

Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our Monochromatic Challenge! Since I already did a Fall card in rust tones, I decided to lean more into the Spooky Season and go with gray tones for this card. I knew it would be the perfect color palette for the Wild Wolves and Wolf Before ’n Afters. I stamped them all out with Jet Black Ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

For the background, I started with a piece of Bristol Cardstock and blended on Distress Oxide Inks, starting with Pumice Stone for the glow around the moon, then working outward with Hickory Smoke, and Black Soot around the edges. Then I splattered on some water and also a bit of the Black Soot, before adding in some Gansai Tambi Starry Colors for stars.

While that was drying, I die cut the Spooky Forest Backdrop out of Storm Cloud Cardstock, and a Simple Stitched Hillside Border out of Narwhal. Then I stamped the sentiment in Storm Cloud Ink onto Fog Cardstock and trimmed that down with an Everyday Sentiment Banner. I adhered the background to the card base, then glued the hillside over top, then popped up the Spooky Forest Backdrop die cut with foam tape. I adhered my images and sentiment with a combo of foam tape and liquid glue and finished with some Iridescent Stars and a bit of Stardust Stickles.

If you’d like to watch how this card came together, you can check out the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty! We hope you’re enjoying our Monochromatic challenge. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Thank you for this wonderful inspiration, Christy!
