Design Team Inspiration

Karin created a clean and simple design that is absolutely gorgeous! I love how she curved the strawberry border from Berry Special to fit the sketch shape. Her sunny sentiment is found in Window Scene: Spring!

Christy used lots of creativity to interpret the sketch! The Car Critters car stands in for the half circle element while she flipped the design to add the sentiment at the top! She also used Stitched Mountain Borders, Car Critters Christmas Add-On and Tiny Christmas.

For her beautiful interpretation of the sketch, Mimi created a glowing winter moon! She included a cute wintry scene along with the sentiment. It features Let’s Go Nuts, Winter in the Park and streetlamps from Here We Go A-Waddling. I love how she used Sandy Beach Accents to make snow drifts for the squirrels to hide their acorns.

Samantha‘s design is so charming! She used the igloo from Penguin Party as the circular element with some cute bears from Snow Much Fun! She prettied up the Home for the Holidays sentiment with trees from Yeti or Not.

Franci created a sweet Winter Skies scene that closely follows the sketch. She stenciled the moon using Nighttime Sky Stencil.

Samantha‘s card is perfect to celebrate a birthday! Her design combines Outside In Stitched Balloon Stackables with the sweet little puppy from Joy to All! Her sentiment is found in Meow You Doin’.

The Fangtastic Friends bats are celebrating a happy holiday in Joyce‘s fun design. The Full Moon die fits the sketch perfectly!

The Beary Rainy Day bears are having fun with a giant snowball in Catherine‘s clever interactive design! She altered a Stitched Rectangle using an Outside In Stitched Balloon to work with the wheel from Reveal Wheel. In the background she added Snowflake Background Stencil, then she combined words from Den Sweet Den and Cozy Christmas to make the sentiment.

Jenn followed the sketch using Nighttime Sky Stencil and the Winter Skies bears. She created her “magical” design with beautiful ink-blending and lots of glitter!

We will share more Design Team inspiration for you over the next 2 WEEKS and we’ll announce our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 137 – Holiday Critters tomorrow! Now it’s time to get creative with the Card Sketch!

It’s time to use all those Lawn Fawn critters in festive holiday designs! Link up your entry photos HERE! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies, stencils and papers and follow the challenge theme. This challenge will be open until Sunday, December 4 at 11:59PM ET.

Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our Holiday Critters Challenge! For this one I decided to make a fun indoor scene with sweet pups getting up to a bit of holiday mischief. I combined images from Furry and Bright and Joy to All, stamped in Jet Black ink and colored them with Copic markers. I trimmed them all out with the matching dies.

Then I created a background using some patterned paper. I chose a tan print from the Let It Shine Starry Skies 6×6 pad to be my wallpaper and the Light Brown Woodgrain Cardstock for a floor, with a strip of leftover Bristol Cardstock for the baseboard. Then I arranged my pups and the holiday elements on the floor, leaving room for a large sentiment above.

Then I spelled out my punny sentiment using Finley’s ABCs die cut from Barn Red Cardstock, and white heat embossed the rest by selectively stamping a phrase from Ho-Ho-Holidays onto Ground Coffee Cardstock. I die cut that with an Everyday Sentiment Banner and trimmed it down to have one flag end and glued that at the top. I finished this card off with a bit of Stardust Stickles for some shine.

If you’d like to watch this card come together, you can check out the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Let’s see what our amazing Design Team was inspired to create!

Mimi was inspired by the rainbow image to create a charming sidewalk chalk art design! She used the cute kids from Joy to All and Screen Time for the little artists and she altered the candles from Birthday Before ‘n Afters and the wand from Fairy Friends to make the chalk! And then she used die cuts as stencils to color in the chalk drawings on the watercolor paper “sidewalk”. The greeting is a mix of Henry’s ABCs and Color My World.

Karin was inspired by the Easter eggs to create this beautiful card! She used Eggstra Amazing Easter and Butterfly Kisses to make the scene and then she added the sentiment from Bicycle Built for You!

Franci wishes you a very happy Spring with this adorable design that features A Bug Deal! She used sweet pastel colors inspired by the color board!

The color palette is great for creating adorable Easter cards! Joyce‘s design is so sweet with the cute Tiny Spring Friends arranged on and around the Giant Happy Easter greeting! The two rows of Simple Grassy Hillsides add dimension and fun design to her card!

Christy was inspired by the flowers and colors to create this cheerful scene! She included Garden Before ‘n Afters, Berry Special, A Creature was Stirring and A Bug Deal. She made the scenery with Cloudy Stencil and Grassy Border.

Samantha‘s card is so whimsical and fun! She incorporated the color palette and the flowers along with the adorable Chirpy Chirp Chirp chicks! I love how she added extra detail in the background with Just Stitching Double Rectangles!

Samantha M was inspired by the rainbow image and created a fun twist on the theme! She stamped several rainbows with All the Clouds, coloring each one in a different rainbow color. Such a clever idea! She added the raindrops with Rainy Sky Stencil and Stencil Paste in white.

Catherine was inspired to create an adorable scene! She combined Tiny Spring Friends, Village Shops, and Car Critters in cute scenes in the Peekaboo Backdrop windows! Then she filled in with lots of cute details from Happy Trails, Giant Easter Messages, Coaster Critters, Simply Celebrate Spring and Chirpy Chirp Chirp!

Jenn created a beautiful pair of cards that show us the difference between Distress Oxide Ink Spray and the original Distress Ink Spray! The Distress Oxide sprays have a softer, muted look compared to the bright color of the original sprays. Jenn’s design is so unique; she kept the Rainbow white with glittery detail and added the rainbow color in the background! Then she used Riley’s ABCs to stamp the custom greeting.
