Design Team Inspiration

Mayra was inspired by Grace!

Mayra used inspiration from Grace’s “kissing booth” card from Lots of Heart Week to make a Pull ‘n Slide Surprise congratulations card! She featured the cute Tiny Gift Box Panda and Bear Add-On with glasses from Woodland Critter Huggers Graduation Add-On. The greeting is Giant Hooray and a sentiment from Little Woodland Library Friends!

Mayra also included Book Collection, the awning from Ta-Da! Diorama! Shop Add-On and the banner from Ta-Da! Diorama! Scalloped Window Add-On.

Franci found her inspiration in this Daisy Bloom Background Stencils card by Kelly!

Franci inked her Daisy Bloom stencils with Distress inks Cracked Pistachio, Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade and Walnut Stain. Her simple birthday greeting pairs Happy Happy Happy with a speech bubble from A Birdie Told Me.

Samantha did some stitching with inspiration from Chari!

Samantha‘s card features a warm color palette with an inked Stratus Cloud Background Stencils. She stitched the Rainbow Add-On and framed it with the original Embroidery Hoop! Then she white embossed a sentiment from Rain or Shine Before ‘n Afters on a Stitched Sentiment Banner.

Joyce was inspired by a slimline Backyard Bird Feeder card by Tammy!

Like Tammy’s inspiration, Joyce also used Backyard Bird Feeder Add-On to feature both styles of bird feeders. She created her background with Stratus Cloud Background Stencils.

Samantha was inspired by an adorable birthday card by Christy!

Samantha used lots of bright, happy color for the cute Hay There critters! And the Bitsy Blooms paper in the background and colorful Oliver’s Stitched ABCs greeting add to the whimsical card design.

Mindy‘s Sunny Sunflower card gave Karin a creative spark to make her own version.

Karin used Fruit Salad petite paper for the Money Pocket; the blue color looks so pretty with the sunflowers! For her greeting she layered Scripty Love on a vellum Scripty Love Outline Add-On. And she added detail with a Lacy Rectangle.

Mimi recreated Tammy‘s clever clipboard teacher card!

Mimi layered Really Rainbow petite paper on a panel of Paper Bag cardstock for the base of the clipboard. Then she cut the flap of the Fancy Box from silver metallic cardstock for the clip. Next, she white embossed lots of cute sentiments on colorful banners and finished the card with images from Little Woodland Library and Little Woodland Library Friends.

Christy was inspired by Megan‘s Release Week card introducing Little Woodland Library Friends!

Christy set up a cute reading nook with Little Woodland Library, Little Woodland Library Friends and Simply Celebrate Hangouts. She included lots of little details from Apple-solutely Awesome, Den Sweet Den, Perfectly Wicked and Virtual Friends Add-On.

It’s so much fun how the whole library scene pops up on the Pull ‘n Slide Surprise, revealing another little scene underneath.

We will have more Design Team inspiration for the Inspired By challenge over the next 2 weeksBe sure to come back tomorrow when we’ll announce our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 195 – BINGO!

Design Team Inspiration

Samantha‘s delightful card is inspired by the movie “Elf”! She combined images from Holiday Helpers, Penguin Party and the cute narwhal from Critters in the Arctic! She set the scene with Stitched Mountain Borders and Snowflake Background Stencils. She spelled out a catch phrase from the movie using Harold’s ABCs.

The song “Driving Home for Christmas” by Chris Rea was Joyce‘s inspiration! She used Car Critters with the Car Critters Christmas Add-On to convey the lyrics of the song. In the background she stenciled Birch Trees. Then she added a greeting with Henry’s ABCs and Car Critters Christmas Add-On sentiments.

Christy‘s favorite holiday movie is “Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer”! She illustrated a scene from the movie using Simply Celebrate Winter Critters as “all of the other reindeer”, and Ho-Ho-Holidays to add Santa and Rudolph! Then she used Snowball Fight, Yeti or Not and the Over the Mountain Borders to add frosty scenery.

Catherine used a Purrfectly Wicked cat to stand in for the “Grinch Who Stole Christmas”! Her clever Platform Pop-Up card also features the border of winter houses from Simply Celebrate Winter. The Grinch’s faithful dog Max is from Simply Celebrate Critters and his antler hat is from Furry and Bright. She also used images from Toboggan Together, Ho-Ho-Holidays, Christmas Dreams and Cheery Christmas!

It won’t take long for this whimsical and quirky holiday song to be stuck in your head, playing on a loop. Samantha‘s scene so brilliantly portrays “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas” with Joy to All, Christmas Dreams, Den Sweet Den and Tiny Gingerbread. The star of the song is from our mini, Year Four birthday set.

Mimi was also inspired by the movie “Elf”! Her scene from the North Pole features Holiday Helpers as the elves! Her narwhal is from Simply Celebrate Winter Critters and the cabin and trees are from Winter Village. I love how she used Christmas Tree Lot Foiled Washi to fill in the forest in the background! Other sets used in the fun scene are Snowball Fight, Cheery Christmas and Tiny Winter Friends.

Franci is inspired by the song “Let it Snow”! She combined Giant Let it Snow and a pair of Wild Wolves to create a frosty and fun shaker card!

Karin‘s favorite song, like Joyce, is “Driving Home for Christmas”. Again, Car Critters and Car Critters Christmas Add-On are the perfect sets to illustrate this song! Karin kept her design beautifully clean and simple!

Jenn used the Henry’s ABCs and Smitty’s ABCs to spell out the name of her favorite holiday song and movie! Her inky pink background features Stitched Windy Backdrop. Rudolph is from Toboggan Together and the sign is from Penguin Party! The sweet little musical note speech bubble is from Peas on Earth!

We will have more Design Team inspiration right here over the next 2 weeks and be sure to come back tomorrow when we’ll announce our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 159 – Monochromatic!
