Now we have a super awesome announcement! We are so excited to welcome Grace Camou to our Design Team! Her amazing cards and crafty projects have been inspiring and impressing us for a while and we are so happy to have her on the team! To learn more about Grace and the rest of our wonderful designers check out the Design Team Page!

Grace created an amazing and Toadally Awesome scene with a super fun twist! She altered the Let’s Toast Pull Tab Add-On to add 2 extra tabs to give all 3 of her cute critters movement!

When the tab is pulled, 2 frogs jump down while the one in the middle pops up! This beautiful scene is all sorts of gorgeous in pretty pastel colors!

Here’s a quick peek at the modifications that Grace used to create her brilliant interactive card!

And now let’s introduce our Guest Designer for this challenge! We are so happy to have Ildi Imrefalvi share her amazing creativity with us! You will find her on Instagram as hellopilda, give her a follow, you will be inspired!

Ildi created a super cute and festive birthday card with our Party Animal critters and their friend from Holiday Party Animal! How cute are those Pick of the Patch squirrels holding the Celebrate Border!

Ildi added fun detail to her fabulous card with a stamped a backdrop using a sentiment from our Let’s Play set! The little sailboat is from Rub-A-Dub-Dub and the pile of presents are found in our Baaah Humbug and Christmas Dreams sets.

Now let’s see what our amazing Design Team has made created to inspire us!

Jessica‘s beautiful card features Elphie Selfie and Selfie Frames on a sweet Polka Heart Backdrop! She created the custom sentiment by combining the greeting in Elphie Selfie with one from Sweet Friends!

Joyce made a sunshine-y card with the Jump for Joy critters in a whimsical scene that includes Sweet Friends treats and the Thanks a Latte coffee mug!

Samantha C gathered a happy group of elephants from Elphie Selfie and Wild for You to celebrate the cute little mouse’s birthday! She added party fun to her adorable card using Itsy Bitsy Polka Dot Backdrop and Bunting Borders!

I love how Christy combined old and new sets to create this brilliant “down under” inspired card! The koala is brand new from our I Love You(calyptus) mini set and she set the scene using stamps from Critters Down Under!

Karin‘s charming card starts with Quilted Backdrop and a Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frame with a Mini Picture Frame in a cheery white on white design! It’s the perfect setting for cute Rub-A-Dub-Dub ducklings to frolic! She included a greeting from Tiny Tag Sayings that fits perfectly in the mini frame!

Say What? Christmas Critters sure are a bunch of happy little critters on Franci‘s brilliant card! The fun greetings and speech bubbles are included in this fun set too! I love how she arranged these little cuties!

Samantha‘s underwater birthday scene is so amazing! It features You Are Sublime with a sentiment from Fintastic Friends and party hats and balloon from Party Animal!

The party fun continues on the inside with our Critters in the Sea whale popped up using Everyday Pop-Ups dies! Ocean Wave Borders add ocean detail to the top of the scene!

Jenn‘s Critter Concert critters are creating a symphony of rainbow color for her watercolor gem! Little Music Notes and Thank You Border round out this fabulous card design! Be sure to check out Jenn’s updated class schedule to find where she will be teaching Lawn Fawn cardmaking classes this Spring!

We will have Design Team and Guest Designer inspiration for you over the next 2 weeks and of course we’ll share our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 43 tomorrow!

Franci’s Cute Kangaroo Sketch Card

Hi there and happy Wednesday! Franci here with a new project! I was inspired by the new challenge sketch to create another cute card.

First of all I die cut a stitched rectangle (using the Stitched Rectangle Stackables set) out of some white cardstock and created a coordinated a lilac card base using Horseshoe from Watercolor Wishes. Then I die cut the window with one of the Circle Stackables dies and cut a little square out of white cardstock to tuck behind it and be the sky.

  • I created my sky by blending 2 Distress ink colors: Spiced Marmalade and Picked Raspberry then set it aside to let it dry.
  • I stamped all the images from the Critters Down Under set, colored them with Copic marker and die cut them with their coordinated dies.
  • These critters are so adorable!! I also gave them rosy cheeks and added some details with a white gel pen.
  • Then I stamped the banner from the Bannertastic set and masked the Hoppy Birthday sentiment from Critters Down Under in order to stamp only “hoppy”. Doing this the card will be perfect for any occasion and I’ll be able to customize the inside with another sentiment!
  • Finally I assembled the little scene with a combo of liquid glue and foam adhesive, adding some clear sequins as a finishing touch!
I had so much fun creating all the cards for this challenge, the design is beautiful, so be sure to join the fun and play with us!
Have a lovely day
Franci
Our Sketch Challenge #28 will be open until May 20th at 11:59PM ET. We hope you will join us!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 16 – Use Your Oldest Lawn Fawn Set!

For this challenge we invite you to create a new card, scrapbook page or crafty project that features your oldest Lawn Fawn set! Maybe you’re a new Fawny fan and your oldest set is from a recent release, that’s what will make this challenge so fun! You can check for when your sets were released at lawnfawn.com by clicking on Shop and selecting Release Date. Have fun combining old with new Lawn Fawn stamps and dies! This new challenge will run until Sunday, November 19 at 11:59PM PT. We can’t wait to take this stroll down memory lane with you!

For each challenge, we will randomly select a winner to receive a $25.00 gift certificate to the Lawn Fawn shop! We will also be highlighting a few of your fabulous projects at the close of each challenge! By linking your projects to our challenges you will give permission for us to post your work to this blog and our social media sites. Check out the How to Play page for a few guidelines to play along. We want this to be FUN so we will keep the rules few! Note: we’ve amended the rules a bit to limit entries to no more than 4 for each challenge.

Now let’s see what our amazing Design Team has created to inspire you!

Karin combined a sentiment from a newer set, Jump for Joy with a vintage set, Critters in the Forest!
Samantha M. shows off her lovely style on a card featuring the reindeer from Critters in the Snow!
Christy combined the adorable squirrel from Critters in the ‘Burbs with Scripty Joy and our new Birch Trees dies! She filled her beautiful shaker card with Chunky Glitter!
Jessica‘s sunny Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up design is filled with adorable Critters Down Under!
Samantha C created a fun way to announce a new address! Her card features retired sets You’ve Got Mail and Home Sweet Home along with some vintage patterned papers! The cute dog, squirrel and tree are from Critters in the ‘Burbs!

Just for fun our challenge admins, Jenn and Nancy went back into their photo archives to find their oldest set used on vintage card designs (it’s Critters in the ‘Burbs from Lawn Fawn’s first release in March 2010 for both)!

Jenn‘s clean and simple design is timeless and so adorable!
Nancy paired her critters and tree with clouds and a sentiment from a retired set, Partly Cloudy.

We will have Design Team inspiration for you over the next 2 weeks and of course, we will have our Featured Fawnatics and Random Winner from Challenge 15 tomorrow!
