Jessica’s Summery On the Beach Card

Good morning! Jess here with a card for our current summer Mood Board & Color Inspiration challenge! Mood Boards are always a little challenging for me; do you go for the colors…or the theme…or the layout…or everything and it gets a little overwhelming for me! So I usually try to choose just one aspect of the mood board that speaks to me and let that guide my design! Today I decided to use the clustered layout of the mood board as my inspiration for a fun summery card!

This month I’m taking part in Kathy Racoosin’s coloring challenge so I started by coloring all the cute images in the new On the Beach set with Copic markers and then I die-cut them with the coordinating dies.

Next I cut a piece of Sea Serpent patterned paper from the Really Rainbow Scallops pack to 4.25” by 2” and adhered it to a white card base. Then I arranged all the images in a cluster across the patterned paper allowing the images to poke above and below the patterned paper. I used a mix of my Glue Tube and foam mounting tape to adhere the images.

Then I stamped the sentiments from Life is Good onto black licorice cardstock and heat-embossed them with white embossing powder. I trimmed them down to thin labels and adhered them to finish the card!

And that’s it! You have one more week to get crafty and I can’t wait to see how the Mood Board & Color Inspiration challenge inspires you! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous day!
