Good morning!  Jess here with a card for our current challenge: Summertime Fun!  One of my favorite summer pastimes is going to amusement parks so I used that as inspiration for today’s card!

To start I tore the middle of a piece of copy paper into a loose circle shape and temporarily adhered it to a panel of Strathmore Bristol smooth cardstock.  Then I lightly blended distress inks over the panel to create a faux watercolor look.  I used picked raspberry, festive berries, dried marigold, squeezed lemonade, twisted citron, peacock feathers, blueprint sketch, and wilted violet.  Once I was done, I blended the edges of another panel of cardstock with the same inks.

Then I stamped images from Coaster Critters onto white cardstock and colored them with Copic markers before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies.  I also stamped and heat-embossed a sentiment from Coaster Critters onto Black Licorice cardstock with white embossing powder.  I adhered my roller coaster and critters onto my background and added my sentiment.  I trimmed the panel down to 3 3/4” by 5” and matted it onto my rainbow panel which was cut to 3 7/8” by 5 1/8”.  Finally, I adhered that to a white card base and added a few white gel pen accents to finish the card!

And that’s it!  You one more weekend to get crafty and I can’t wait to see your version of summertime fun!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have an amazing weekend!
Jess

Thanks so much for this beautiful inspiration, Jessica!
