Hey friends, it’s Christy here with another card for our Inspiration Board Challenge! For this one I decided to make a sweet holiday scene celebrating the coming New Year. I combined images from Wood You Be Mine with the Build-A-Cabin dies. I stamped the images in Jet Black ink, colored them with Copic markers, and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

I die cut the various pieces from Build-A-Cabin from Kraft, Sage Leaf, and Ballet Slippers Cardstock. I also trimmed down a piece of Sticky Note Cardstock and added that behind the windows and door so it would look like the lights are on. I also added a bit of Copic color to the chimney to emphasize the bricks.

Then I created a background by blending Distress Oxide Inks onto Bristol Smooth Surface Cardstock. I used Kitsch Flamingo and Squeezed Lemonade for the sky and splattered on some Gansai Tambi Starry Colors for stars. Then added a bit of Evergreen Bough to the tops of the Stitched Hillside Borders I used for the snow drifts. I also blended some of the same shades onto the matching cabin pieces and used Gathered Twigs on top of the Kraft elements.

I adhered the background to a Ballet Slippers card base and added the cabin and stamped images, and stamped a sentiment in the top right corner. Then I finished up with a bit of Stardust Stickles.

You still have time to play along with our Inspiration Board Challenge!
