Design Team Inspiration

Mimi‘s sweet miss you card features the woodland critters of Simply Celebrate More Critters! She built the scene using Build-A-Cabin, Build-A-Barn and Forest Backdrop. She also used Wood You Be Mine for the log and sentiment.

Adventure awaits as the Car Critters embark on a trip to the mountains! Samantha added all the essentials from Car Critters Road Trip Add-On on top of the cars. Then she put together the scene with On the Road, Stitched Mountain Borders and Sunray Stencil!

The Simply Celebrate More Critters are hanging out in a mountain meadow with a friendly squirrel from Let’s Go Nuts! Joyce used the log from Toadally Awesome and leaves from A Bug Deal. In the background she stenciled Birch Trees.

Joy to the Woods is one of my all-time favorite Lawn Fawn sets, I love that fox! Franci used a beautiful pastel palette and Stitched Snowflake Backdrop to create this lovely card!

We don’t always think of frogs and toads when we consider critters in the woods, but Samantha reminds us with her delightful card! She used critters from Toadally Awesome with die sets Bayou Backdrop, Lift the Flap Tree Backdrop and Meadow Borders.

Karin‘s creative card uses woodgrain cardstock to take us “into the woods”! I love how she filled in the Giant Outlined Love Ya and also used it in the background. Then she added just one sweet little Butterfly Kisses bear.

Christy‘s cute Car Critters have gone fishin’ with the help of Car Critter Road Trip Add-On. They are heading to a mountain lake if the all the trees from Merry Mice and Car Critters Christmas Add-On are any indication!

Catherine‘s Snow Much Fun bear is enjoying fishing in a clear, cool mountain stream! She used the Waving Pull-Tab to add some action. To create the scene, Catherine stenciled the mountains, then she layered on Leafy Tree Backdrop: Portrait and Stitched Wave Borders. For the fishing bear, she used the hat from Dad + Me and then drew the vest by hand adding tree ornaments from Merry Mice as fishing tackle. So clever!

Jenn created a pretty thank you card featuring the Critters in the Forest fox. The scene includes Joy to the Woods birch trees and a Stitched Cloud Backdrop. She then combined a sentiment from Critters in the Forest with Scripty Thanks.

Karin reached way back to 2011 to use the Critters in the Forest tree as a Christmas tree for her lovely design! She added gift packages from Toboggan Together and trimmed the tree with ornaments from Cheery Christmas. To add a special touch of shine, Karin covered the ornaments with Clear Glaze. The dramatic backdrop was created with Distress Ink in Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. Finally, she added a sentiment from Offset Sayings: Christmas.

I hope that Karin’s beautiful Christmas card has inspired you to create some Christmas in July cards! Be sure to link them up by 11:59PM ET on Sunday, August 6. Click HERE to see the challenge post.

Thank you so much for creating this gorgeous inspiration, Karin!
