Jessica’s S’more Friends Like You Card

Good morning! Jess here with a CAS (clean and simple) card for our current Fun with Food challenge!

To start I masked off a panel of Strathmore Bristol smooth cardstock with painter’s tape and then blended spun sugar, picked raspberry, and abandoned coral distress oxide ink across the panel. I removed the painter’s tape and stamped the sentiment and hearts from Sweet Friends with Versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. The hearts are outlines so I colored them in with a black Copic marker to get the solid hearts.

Next I stamped the s’more from Sweet Friends and the mice from Dandy Day onto white cardstock with Versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. I colored them with Copic markers and then die-cut them with the coordinating dies. I arranged them on the panel and adhered them with a mix of regular adhesive and foam mounting tape to finish the card. I love how the one mouse looks like he’s getting ready to take a bite! 🙂

And that’s it! You have one more weekend to get crafty and I can’t wait to see what you’ll create! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous weekend!

The Fun with Food challenge will be open until Sunday, July 19th at 11:59PM ET.

Thanks so much for sharing this adorable design with us today, Jessica!

Caly’s Be Hap-pea Card

Hi Friends! This is Caly with you today sharing a happy card using the Be Hap-Pea set for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge with the Fun with Food theme! Everyone loves peas right? You can’t not love these peas!

To create today’s card, I stamped a lot of images and vines from the Be Hap-Pea stamp set and colored them using Copic markers. It’s a lot of greens so I tried to use different color combinations to give the card more interest.

Copic Colors Used:
Leaves: YG11, YG13, YG17
Pods: YG61, YG63, YG67
Peas: G12, G14, G05
Blush: R20
Party Hats: RV52, RV55, V01, V05, B02, B05

After die-cutting all of my images, I set them aside to work on the background. I ink-blended my background using Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Inks. I started with Spun Sugar at the center, then added Worn Lipstick around the outer edges, moving about 3/4s of a way in without covering up the Spun Sugar, then I finished around the furthermost edge with Wilted Violet.

Before adhering my images down, I splattered my panel with white and plum-colored acrylic paint to give it more texture. Then I decided to die-cut some vellum clouds using the Simple Puffy Clouds dies to give my background even more interest and adhered them down first before attaching my images.

Next I attached my pea pods and then layered my peas using foam adhesive to give them dimension. I then attached the vines and leaves directly to the card panel under the foam-raised images. My sentiment is stamped with Noble Fir ink and paired with and embossed sentiment strip as well. To finish my card, I used my Gelly Roll pen to add white gel highlights to all the images to give them more interest.

I hope you enjoyed this card! This Fun with Food Challenge ends on Sunday, July 19th at 11:59pm PST! Be sure to link it up on the Fun with Food post! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Fun with Food Inspiration with Leontine: A Pull Tab Card with Chocolate Unicorns!

Our amazing Guest Designer, Leontine joins us today to share some adorable Fun with Food inspiration! She created a pull-tab card featuring chocolate unicorns from our Unicorn Picnic set!

Leontine describes this totally sweet card: “For this card I had the idea to make chocolate unicorns. I started coloring them first and built the rest of the scene around them. I wanted to give it an interactive element, so I added a pull-tab that makes a cloud pop up with some delicious treats. It’s a really sweet scene (literally) with yummy food and a soft pink cotton candy background. I used the starry sky stencil to add some more sparkle. It was a lot of fun to create this card and I wish I could eat those treats!

Leontine combined Unicorn Picnic with Rain or Shine Before ‘n Afters along with and Puffy Cloud Borders and Scripty Sweet! I love how she added icing and sprinkles on the “chocolate” unicorn! When the pull-tab lifts, a whole dessert buffet is revealed!

She created her card on Chocolate Bar cardstock (seems appropriate!) and used Oh Gnome and Eggstra Amazing Easter to piece together the white embossed sentiment on the inside!

Leontine created a video tutorial for this card. You can find it at her YouTube channel, click HERE. Thanks so much!

Thank you so much, Leontine for sharing your amazing creativity with us for the Fun with Food challenge! Your cards are so inspiring!
