Franci’s Classic Cartoon Inspired Card

Hello there! Franci here with you today with a fun card inspired by the Looney Tunes cartoon characters,Tweety Bird and Sylvester! Our Inspired by a Book, Movie, Song challenge will be open until Sunday, March 17th at 11:59PM ET.

The new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge is so super fun to play with so today I thought about some of my favorite cartoon characters; “Tweety and Sylvester“! I used the Meow you Doin’ and the Love Letters sets for all my images and sentiments and I had fun drawing some bigger feet for my Tweety and coloring my little cat as Sylvester 🙂

I kept my card pretty simple so these cuties could be stars! I just inked the background lightly to create a soft scene. Added some details with my scoring board, some sequins and the card is ready to be mailed to a friend!

Hope you like it and be sure to be inspired by a cartoon, a film, a book or a song and play with us!
Have a lovely day!

More Fabulous Inspiration by our Guest Designer, Davina!

Hello Fawnatics Friends! We are one week into our Inspired by a Book, Movie or Song challenge and you guys are seriously impressing us with your creativity! There is still a full week to enter the challenge which is open until Sunday, March 17 at 11:59PM ET.

Our amazing Guest Designer, Davina joins us again today to share 2 more fabulous cards to inspire your crafting! She will tell you about her process for making these clever card designs!

“I love creating scenes from movies and books. And when I’m going through my stamp sets I’m always thinking about what else can be created with the images. I was inspired by one on my favorite childhood movies Bambi. I knew that I had images for all the main characters.

My favorite part of the movie is the “Twitterpated” spring. And I tried to recreate that meadow scene. After die cutting my panels I ink-blended the background and splattered white opaque ink on the golden sky. I stamped out all my images and colored them with Copic markers and white gel pen highlights. I wanted my cute Flower the skunk to be behind the flowers like he was in the movie, so I popped the flowers and grass up on foam tape and placed him behind.

Thumper sits atop the log from the Toadally Awesome set, Bambi is standing in front. I didn’t forget Owl who is perched on a branch whistling away. It was such a joy to create this iconic scene and I hope that you play along with the current challenge to create your own scenes.”

“I am such a lover of everything Harry Potter that I couldn’t resist making a something inspired by the Wizarding World. Honeydukes Sweet Shop is by far one of my favorite magical places.”

“After already creating two projects I wanted to try something a little different. I wanted to make a scene that would appear like I was living in the Wizarding World.  And what would the table look like upon emptying my pockets after a day in Hogsmeade Village. I’d have Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans, and Chocolate Frogs. There would be Droobles best blowing gum and Fizzing Wizzbees. I would have brought home a Pumpkin Pasty for later and some sweet Jelly Slugs (formerly a cute snail from Gleeful Gardens who lost him shell).”

Thank you so much, Davina! Your card art is amazing and we are so happy that you joined us for this challenge!

Samantha’s 101 Dalmatians Card!

Hey everyone, Samantha here with a card inspired by the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! The challenge is to create a project that is inspired by a movie, book, or song. So what I love about this challenge is you can mix and match different stamp sets and products to create a fun project!  One of my all time favorite movies is Disney’s 101 Dalmatians. Growing up I just watched it on repeat, all the dogs were just so cute. I used dogs from Bicycle Built for You, Happy Howloween and Christmas Dreams stamp sets to create my little scene. I had fun adding different spots to the dogs to create their unique characteristics.

Thank you so much for stopping by, please check out the Inspired by a book, movie, or song challenge. You are bound to find inspiration from the design team and current submissions. I am just awed by the all the different projects and how creative everyone is! You still have time to participate, we really look forward to seeing what you make. I hope you have a great day!
