Hi Fawnatics friends! It’s time for another challenge! This time we want you to “create a scene” with either a city or a country theme!

We invite you to share your creativity by linking up your crafty projects at the end of this post! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies, stencils and papers. This challenge will run for 2 weeks and be open until Sunday, April 30 at 11:59PM ET.

For each challenge, we will randomly select an entry to receive a $50.00 gift certificate to the Lawn Fawn shop! Everyone who enters a challenge has a chance to be the random drawing winner! Woohoo!

We will also be highlighting a few of your fabulous projects at the close of each challenge! By linking your projects to our challenges, you will give permission for us to post your work to this blog and our social media sites. Check out the How to Play page for a few guidelines to play along. We want this to be FUN, so we’ll keep the rules to just a few!

Design Team Inspiration

It looks like most of our Design Team members are country girls at heart!

Catherine created a super fun, superhero in the city themed Platform Pop-Up card! The superhero mouse from You Autumn Know has a mask and cape from Happy Howloween. Catherine created the cityscape with Village Border, Build-A-Castle and Build-A-Barn. Then she added emergency vehicles from Village Heroes.

Joyce created a country fair scene with the new Ferris Wheel from Wheely Great Day! She added to scene with Village Shops and Happy Village, then she added lots of happy Tiny Friends!

What could be more “country” than a barnyard full of cute farm animals! Samantha combined Hay There with You Goat This to create a country themed birthday card!

Mimi‘s Apple-solutely Awesome apple-picking scene is so adorable! She included smaller trees from Tree Before ‘n Afters and layered all the trees on treetops from the Tree House set. She also added the wagon from Let’s Go Nuts and the net from Butterfly Kisses Flip-Flop, so clever.

You Goat This and All-Star combine in Samantha‘s country scene! I love the pink sunrays she inked in the background with white stencil paste clouds over the top!

Christy‘s amusement park scene is filled with sunshine and fun! She combined Wheely Great Day and Coaster Critters with some trees from Happy Village!

Franci‘s cute You Goat This scene makes me think of an alpine meadow in the Spring! I love that she created her scene in a die cut circle with Heart Garden Border, layering the cute goats on top!

We will share more Design Team inspiration for you over the next 2 WEEKS and we’ll announce our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 146 – Color Inspiration tomorrow! We can’t wait to see which theme you will choose, city vs country!

Mimi rounds out our All Things Birthday inspiration with an interactive birthday card that is so creative and fun! She combined a clever shaker idea with a pull tab element too! I’ll let her describe her process in her own words, take it away Mimi!

I created a birthday shaker arcade game card with dispensing tickets. Shake the card and try to get the little critters in their own Ferris wheel basket. Pull the tab and watch the ticket come out.

To create the game machine, I started off by stamping and die cutting the claw machine from You’re Claw-some. I did mask off the bear portion and the dispenser and then stamped TICKETS from Wheely Great Day, arrow from Open Me and the loading bar from Virtual Friends. I also cut the inner part of the machine out and adhered a piece of clear acetate behind it to create the window. Next, I cut an open slit in the loading bar to create the ticket dispenser.

I die cut the claw machine (no stamping) on white card stock and stamped the ferris wheel from Wheely Great Day. I also ink blended with the Sunray Background stencil. I stamped all the little critters, saving the fawn for later. I also stamped 5 extra baskets and placed double sided foam tape leaving room for the little critters to slide inside. I placed double sided foam tape around the window to create the shaker window.

I die cut the Raffle Ticket die and stamped some critters, mini banner from Fly High and happy birthday from Simply Celebrate Critters.

Next, I die cut 3 pieces of Large Stitched Rectangle. The first one, I adhered a piece of the Stripes ’n Sprinkles paper, with another one, I created the pull tab mechanism from Let’s Toast Pull Tab Add-On and the third one is for the base panel. I aligned the raffle ticket and pull tab next to each other (leaving a small space) and placed a strip of clear piece of acetate at the top of the two so that they are parallel and move as one.

I assembled the card by slipping the raffle ticket through the slot and making sure that when I pull the tab, the tickets come out too.

Lastly, I decorated the rest of the card with tickets and the little fawn critter that I saved from earlier. The little fawn’s party hat is from Meow You Doin’ and the mini balloons from Tiny Birthday Friends

I hope you enjoyed this great inspiration! A big thank you to Mimi for creating this amazing card!
