Jar of Mints Easel Card & Lip Balm Holder Gift Tag by Grace!

Our sweet and talented Guest Designer, Grace Camou, joins us again today to share her super adorable easell card and matching gift tag!

When Grace’s beautiful card folds flat for mailing, it’s an adorable How You Bean? jar filled with pretty mint candies from Sweet Christmas and white embossed hearts on vellum…

…but when this clever easel card opens, her mason jar is a see-through shaker design with acetate on both sides! The penguins from Toboggan Together add whimsical fun!

Grace created the sweet lip balm holder using Say What? Gift Tags! She did partial die cutting to extend the length of the tag to fit the lip balm, then she used cellophane gift wrap to hold the tube in place! That is such a great idea!

She created a second tag layer with another Toboggan Together penguin and mint candy to coordinate with the fabulous card! The little tag and banner which she white embossed with the sentiments are found in our Double Slider Surprise die set!

The clever easel design allows the cute shaker jar to take center stage on Grace’s brilliant card!

Thank you so much, Grace, for sharing this brilliant card and gift tag with us today! I’m totally inspired and can’t wait to try your great ideas! We are so happy to have you as our Guest Designer!

Our Shaped Cards challenge will be open until Sunday, December 2nd at 11:59PM ET. We are looking forward to seeing your creative shaped card ideas!

Happy Crafting from your friends at Lawn Fawnatics!

Gingerbread Friends with Christy!

Hey everyone, it’s Christy! Happy Black Friday to all our friends in the States! To those out shopping, may you find lots of deals, and to those tucked indoors, I wish you lots of yummy leftovers and family cheer!

Today’s card is definitely a sweet treat. And it’s actually not just a card. On Wednesday the Lawn Fawn and Lawn Fawnatics design teams participated in the 25 Days of Christmas Tags event, and I actually made mine as a set with a matching card and gift tags. These could either be used on one family’s gifts, or split up and used individually.

The Gingerbread Friends dies brought back so many childhood memories of when I loved to play with and design my own paper dolls. You start out with a simple gingerbread man shape (or six) and it’s like paper dolls for adults! I had so much fun mixing and matching all the different accessories.

My boys are all teenagers now, but this could absolutely be a wonderful activity for little ones. You could fill little dishes or an empty egg crate with all the different bits and pieces, give them the gingerbread men and a glue stick, and BAM! You can thank me later when you’ve had a solid half hour or more all to yourself to get some Christmas baking done or wrap a few gifts. Use them on cards or as gift tags, or tape some string on the back for a Christmas garland.

Can you tell I miss my kids being little? Back to my card. After I decorated my gingerbread men and lady, I adhered them to a focal panel of patterned paper trimmed down with the Stitched Circle Stackables and Scalloped Circle Stackables. The card base measures 4 1/2′ x 4 1/2” which is the perfect size for the largest of the Cross-Stitched Square Stackables. I layered on another piece of patterned paper and popped the focal panel in the center with foam tape. To finish off the card, I added a white heat embossed sentiment from Sweet Christmas. On the inside I stamped a few of the candies from Sweet Christmas and an additional sentiment from Merry Messages.

You can check out the video on my YouTube Channel, Christy Gets Crafty, if you’d like to see how the card and tags came together.

There’s still time left to enter our Shaped Card Challenge, so if you’ve got a little extra free time over holiday break, now is the perfect time to get crafting! We can’t wait to see what you create!

Have a wonderful and crafty weekend!

You can find her on Instagram as @allbygrace! Be sure to check out her Instagram, you will be so inspired! Now let’s share her amazing card for this challenge!

What looks like just a regular card is actually a Storybook Shadow Box card to which Grace added a decorated cover flap! How cute is that gingerbread and candy vignette?!

Grace used the banner die that comes in the Double Slider Surprise die set to add the sweet sentiment to the “book cover” flap on the front of the box! This design is just so fun and unique!

When the card folds flat for mailing, the Sweet Christmas sentiment on the side of the box will be visible as the card is removed from the envelope! Too clever!

Grace used our Sweet Christmas stamp set to build an adorable layered scene on the inside! She created a lovely pink and teal color palette using papers from a few different collections! She also added the Sweetest Flavor ice cream cone to the inside panels in pretty pastel shades!

Now let’s see what our awesome Design Team created to inspire your creativity!

Samantha‘s fabulous Christmas scene was created on an Outside In Stitched Cloud shape! She used Winter Village and Winter Skies for the scene!

Jessica used a Stitched Circle for her adorable shaped card! She combined the mug and fun sentiment from Thanks a Latte with glittery snowflakes!

Franci created a sweet snowscape inside a Shadow Box Card using the cute penguins from Snow Cool! The pretty pastel colors are perfect in this frosty scene!

Karin‘s beautiful little Winter Skies scene looks so adorable in the heart-shaped card! She used an Outside In Stitched Heart with a Lacy Heart to create the card base.

Samantha C got really creative and made her card base using the Candy Box die! She used Holiday Sparkle cardstock to add the glittery silver to the sides and the sweet Holiday Helpers fit perfectly on this unique card design!

Joyce used our new Outside In Stitched Christmas Tree for her festive and fun shaped card! She added a Bannertastic banner with a greeting from Thanks a Latte! The fun accessories under the tree are from the Woodland Critter Huggers Winter Add-On set!

Christy used the Shadow Box Card dies to make the box base and add the snowy trees! The Shadow Box Ocean Add-On was used to create the sweet scalloped window! She filled the scene with critters from Joy to the Woods and finished with a sentiment from Ready Set Snow for her fantastic holiday card!

We will have Design Team inspiration for you over the next 2 weeks and of course we’ll share our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 40 tomorrow!
