Christy’s Colorful Manatee-rific Card!

Hey friends, it’s Christy here today with another card inspired by our fantastic Inspiration Board. For this one, I knew I wanted to mimic the central light focus on the bottom middle photo, and also lean on the green and turquoise color scheme.

I stamped my images from Manatee-rific, You Are Sublime, and a few accessories from Party Animal, then colored them in with Copic markers. I decided to throw in some purple to round out my palette, even coloring the manatee with some grayish purples for a splash of fun!

After I trimmed out my images with the matching dies, it was time to work on my background. I used Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, and Seedless Preserves Distress Inks, sponging it on in a circular pattern to make the center almost look like it glows. I sprinkled on some water and blotted it up with a paper towel.

To give focus to my panel, I added a Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frame, popped up with thin strips of foam tape. I adhered my images with foam tape as well, to create some depth in the scene. As a finishing touch, I added a few clear droplets and some Crystal Stickles for a little bling.

If you’d like to see how this card came together, you can check it out on my YouTube Channel, Christy Gets Crafty. Thanks so much for stopping by! Don’t forget to link up your Inspiration Board projects and play along.

Our Inspiration Board Challenge will be open until Sunday June 3 at 11:59PM ET. We can’t wait to see how you will be inspired! Have a great weekend!
