Samantha combined Heart Tree, Little Woodland Library and Spring Basket to send an encouraging message to a friend! She used Meadow Backdrop: Portrait and Bitsy Blooms paper to craft the background.

Christy‘s punny Summer Friends card takes the tropical approach to a cool greeting! She stamped the puns in All the Speech Bubbles and stamped palm trees from Flamingo Together in the Foursquare Backdrop: Portrait windows. Then she spelled the greeting with Finley’s ABCs.

Karin is celebrating 200 challenges with the cute Wood You Be Mine? beavers! She used watercolors on Distress Watercolor cardstock to bring the critters to life. And Finley’s 123s adds the milestone number!

Mimi layered Riverside Backdrop: Landscape, Spooky Forest Backdrop and Flower Garden Backdrop to create a magical scene for the Fairy Friends!

With a sentiment from Sweet Friends, Joyce‘s happy design features the Summer Friends!

Franci made a trio of gift tags with Stitched Circle Tags! She used How You Bean? Seashell Add-On with Kiddie Pool ink to add pretty shells on each tag.

Mayra‘s friendship themed window card features a fun flower cart! She also crafted a cute sleeve for gifting lavender seeds! I love how she used a little flower from Secret Garden Window to dot the i on Scripty Friends!

This sweet scene inside the window combines Treat Cart with Garden Mouse, Veggie Happy and flowers from Fairy Friends! There’s also a fence from Critters on the Farm and a sentiment from Garden Before ‘n Afters.

Then she combined a Stitched Rounded Rectangle with the scalloped oval from Giant Easter Messages Lawn Cuts as a clever holder for a gift of lavender seeds. She decorated it with Tiny Gift Box Mouse Add-On and “lavender” made with Tropical Leaves Backdrop.

Joyce‘s cute scene was inspired by a Ta-Da! Diorama! card by Marine.

Joyce created a fun meadow scene with Simple Grassy Hillsides, Grassy Border and a Cloudy Stenciled sky. And then she added lots of cute critters from Little Woodland Library and Little Woodland Library Friends. The Heart Tree along with flowers from Backyard Bird Feeder Add-On fill in the scene with pretty detail.

Thank you for sharing with us today, Joyce! I love this cute card!

Design Team Inspiration

I love that Mimi took the adventurous It’s a Bird mice out into a Desert Canyon Backdrop for some stargazing! She paired these cute little critters with a telescope from Super Star and camping gear from Car Critters Road Trip Add-On.

This family of squirrels is enjoying an afternoon of leisurely reading! Christy combined Little Woodland Library with Heart Tree to create a charming scene! To keep it sweet and simple she stenciled the background with Cloudy Stencil and Grassy Hillside Stencils.

Franci‘s clean and simple window card features our Sew Very Mice critters! She used Outside In Stitched Heart Stackables for the window and a Scalloped Rectangle in Bitsy Blooms paper to create a frame. Then she added a sweet sentiment stamped in Sage Leaf ink.

We all know cats love to play with yarn, so it’s not a leap to picture them knitting! Samantha created a cozy scene with Window Scene: Winter and Den Sweet Den. She included the cats from Purrfectly Wicked along with the shelf. I love how she used Knit Picky paper in the background, it’s a perfect choice!

Joyce chose Build-A-Bunny as her critter who loves painting! She dressed her up in overalls from Build-A-Bunny Accessories. Then she gathered all the things for her hobby from Canvas and Easel and Art Supplies! Her sentiment comes from Henry’s Build-A-Sentiment: Bunny Puns.

This adorable You’re a Keeper bear is busy harvesting honey! Mayra shows us a fun bee-keeping hobby with Hive Five, Spring Basket and Heart Tree! She added a greeting from Magic Messages.

Samantha gathered a bunch of literature lovers from Little Woodland Library on her colorful card! She inked up 3 rectangle panels in rainbow colors, then using Lots of Stars Background Stencils she added stars with white stencil paste. I love how she colored the images to coordinate with the background colors!

Karin shows our cute Sew Very Mice critters on a thoughtful birthday gift! She used Fancy Box to create a little sewing kit for a friend!

The box is just big enough to fill with thread, tiny scissors, measuring tape, needles and pins!

Such a clever idea and a great way to show off these critters and their favorite hobby!

We will have more Design Team inspiration for the Critters & Hobbies challenge over the next 2 weeksBe sure to come back tomorrow when we’ll announce our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 193 – Inspired by a Book, Movie or Song!
