Kate’s Love You a Latte Card!

Kate joins us today to share a fun way to get 2 cards from one basic card design!

For this card, Kate was inspired by the die cut Heart design from her original Challenge 21 card! She gave it a new look by changing up the colors and adding cute coffee cup images and a sentiment from Love You a Latte! She created the layers using Stitched Rectangle Stackables and Scalloped Rectangle Stackables!

Here’s a look at the original card!

Thanks so much for sharing your adorable card with us today, Kate! I love the idea of switching up a basic design to make lots of awesome cards!

Our new Inspiration Board challenge will be open for 3 weeks until Sunday, February 4 at 11:59PM ET. We hope you will join the fun and share your inspired projects with us! Click for Challenge 21.

Jessica’s Cute Candy Wrapper!

Challenge 15 will be open until Sunday, November 5 at 11:59 PM ET

Jessica joins us today with her cute and clever take on gift packaging!

Good morning!  Jess here with an idea for our Clever Gift Packaging challenge!  I don’t actually own many of the treat box or gift holder dies from Lawn Fawn (yet!) so I decided to give you an idea of how to create gift wrapping without using a treat-specific die!

My husband and I love these yummy gourmet chocolate bars and I thought it would be fun to slip one into his lunch on Halloween! But I wanted to gussy up the packaging a little so I created a s’mores themed gift wrapper!  I started by die-cutting the Outside In Stitched Rectangle from the middle of a 12×12 piece of Armoire patterned paper from the Knock on Wood collection. Then I trimmed the paper down to a 4”x9” strip with the rectangular opening in the center. I adhered a piece of vellum behind the rectangle and then stamped the sentiment from Love You S’more onto the vellum with Versafine and heat-embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder. Then I turned the strip over and stamped the flames with Versafine and heat-embossed them with Clear Embossing Powder. I colored the flames with Copic markers on the back side of the vellum to get a more muted look.

Next I stamped the adorable squirrel and marshmallow from Love You S’more onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly Jet Black ink and colored them with Copic markers before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies. I adhered them over the vellum window and then added a few accents with a white gel pen. Finally I die-cut the pink hearts from the Hearts die set, adhered them to the vellum window, and added a layer of clear sparkle for a little extra shimmer!

And that’s it! You have 2 weeks to get crafty and create some clever gift packaging for our current challenge and I can’t wait to get more ideas from all of you! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic day!
