Design Team Inspiration

Mimi was inspired by the tropical images to create a fun Toucan Do It design! She included Tropical Leaves Backdrop, Tropical Vine Borders and Birch Tree Stencils!

Samantha‘s gorgeous card features Gleeful Gardens! She also included flowers from Fairy Friends and Hive Five. Her lovely wreath design is so creative! She added texture by stenciling with Fall Leaves Background Stencils and white stencil paste. She added color with Distress Inks in Seedless Preserves, Milled Lavender and Lost Shadow.

Karin sends love with Giant XOXO! She added sweet floral design with Spring Blossoms Background Stencils and tiny flowers and vines from Magic Iris Birdhouse Add-On.

Catherine‘s adorable flower cart features Garden Before ‘n Afters. She included mice from Sew Very Mice, Berry Special and A Creature was Stirring. To create the flower cart she used the roof from Scalloped Treat Box Beach House Add-On as the awning. She added the barn door from Build-A-Barn to add detail to the cart. The cart wheel is a combination of Circle Stackables and the coordinating bicycle die from Bicycle Built for You.

Samantha created a tropical environment for our One in a Chameleon critter! She combined Tropical Leaves Background Stencils with Magic Iris Tropical Leaves Add-On! The beautiful warm colors are a fun change from the typical tropical greens and blues!

Franci’s Gleeful Gardens design is so sweet! She used Flower Market paper in the background while creating her scene on the upper third of the card!

Joyce‘s birthday card features Giant Happy Birthday to You on a Gotta Have Gingham background. She added sweet daisy accents from the new Magic Iris Beehive Add-On.

Christy crafted a beautiful tropical scene by combining Toucan Do It, Critters in the Jungle, A Bug Deal and Wild for You! She created the look of a jungle in the background by stenciling with the Birch Tree Stencils.

Jenn‘s thank you card is simply beautiful! She water colored the Spring Flowers Backdrop, adding a wash of color to the background as well. Then she layered Giant Thank You over the top!

A Spring Garden Card with Joyce

We hope you are having fun with the new Spring Inspiration and Color Board! We can’t wait to see your creativity! This challenge will be open until Sunday, April 17 at 11:59PM ET.

Joyce joins us today with a beautifully clever garden themed card!

Joyce used Foursquare Backdrop: Portrait to create vignettes showing the progression of this pretty Garden Before ‘n Afters flower from seed to full bloom! The cute butterflies from Butterfly Kisses and little bee from Berry Special add more fun the little scenes!

She added pretty color and pattern by using a variety of Flower Market paper behind each window!

The bottom of the Foursquare Backdrop: Portrait is the perfect place to add the greeting! Joyce spelled out “blooms” with Henry’s ABCs in pastel Watercolor Wishes paper like the pretty pastel eggs in the inspiration board!

Thank you for this adorable inspiration, Joyce! I love it!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 122 – Spring Inspiration & Color Board

Let’s see what our amazing Design Team was inspired to create!

Mimi was inspired by the rainbow image to create a charming sidewalk chalk art design! She used the cute kids from Joy to All and Screen Time for the little artists and she altered the candles from Birthday Before ‘n Afters and the wand from Fairy Friends to make the chalk! And then she used die cuts as stencils to color in the chalk drawings on the watercolor paper “sidewalk”. The greeting is a mix of Henry’s ABCs and Color My World.

Karin was inspired by the Easter eggs to create this beautiful card! She used Eggstra Amazing Easter and Butterfly Kisses to make the scene and then she added the sentiment from Bicycle Built for You!

Franci wishes you a very happy Spring with this adorable design that features A Bug Deal! She used sweet pastel colors inspired by the color board!

The color palette is great for creating adorable Easter cards! Joyce‘s design is so sweet with the cute Tiny Spring Friends arranged on and around the Giant Happy Easter greeting! The two rows of Simple Grassy Hillsides add dimension and fun design to her card!

Christy was inspired by the flowers and colors to create this cheerful scene! She included Garden Before ‘n Afters, Berry Special, A Creature was Stirring and A Bug Deal. She made the scenery with Cloudy Stencil and Grassy Border.

Samantha‘s card is so whimsical and fun! She incorporated the color palette and the flowers along with the adorable Chirpy Chirp Chirp chicks! I love how she added extra detail in the background with Just Stitching Double Rectangles!

Samantha M was inspired by the rainbow image and created a fun twist on the theme! She stamped several rainbows with All the Clouds, coloring each one in a different rainbow color. Such a clever idea! She added the raindrops with Rainy Sky Stencil and Stencil Paste in white.

Catherine was inspired to create an adorable scene! She combined Tiny Spring Friends, Village Shops, and Car Critters in cute scenes in the Peekaboo Backdrop windows! Then she filled in with lots of cute details from Happy Trails, Giant Easter Messages, Coaster Critters, Simply Celebrate Spring and Chirpy Chirp Chirp!

Jenn created a beautiful pair of cards that show us the difference between Distress Oxide Ink Spray and the original Distress Ink Spray! The Distress Oxide sprays have a softer, muted look compared to the bright color of the original sprays. Jenn’s design is so unique; she kept the Rainbow white with glittery detail and added the rainbow color in the background! Then she used Riley’s ABCs to stamp the custom greeting.

We will share more Design Team inspiration for you over the next 2 weeks and we’ll announce our Featured Fawnatics and random winner for Challenge 121 – Inspired by a Book, Movie or Song tomorrow! Now it’s time for you to get creative!
