Christy’s Build-A-House Wedding Card

Hey, everyone, it’s Christy here with another card for our Something See Through Challenge! My cousin is getting married next weekend so I decided to make a card for the happy couple. I used the new Build-A-House Lawn Cuts and turned it into a wedding chapel with the bride and groom making their getaway on a bicycle!

I started by stamping my images from Bicycle Built for You and the little bell from Trim the Tree. I used Copic markers to color them in and then cut them out with the matching dies. I set those aside to work on my wedding chapel.  The building was cut from Fog cardstock, and the roof, awning, door, and window from Black Licorice. The glue tube works great for attaching even the tiniest die cuts because of its super fine nozzle!

Once I had all the pieces ready to go, it was time for assembly! First came the Stitched Tree Borders cut from Kraft cardstock adhered directly to my card base with tree tops of Noble Fir and Cilantro. Adding them in the background created a feeling of depth and distance. Next came a Noble Fir Stitched Hillside Border to give me some rolling hills out behind the church. On top of that I added the parking lot using Narwhal cardstock trimmed down with a Simple Stitched Hillside Border. Before I glued this down, I wrapped my sentiment around it, white heat embossed on Vellum.

I popped up my “Little White Church” with foam tape and added the bell inside the window, and the steps out in front. Then I adhered all my images with a combination of Foam Tape and Glue Tube. The top right corner was looking a little empty so I added a cloud from Spring Showers and a tiny butterfly from Butterfly Kisses.
To finish off the card, I added some Glitter Pen to the bride’s dress and veil, and to the centers of all the flowers. I also stamped a few images and a sentiment on the inside, which you can check out in the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, Christy Gets Crafty.

I hope you were inspired by today’s card and feel excited to make something for our See Through Challenge! We can’t wait to see what you create!
