Mimi let her imagination go to fun places as she created this Card Sketch inspiration for you! Her brilliant design features Wood You Be Mine?! She will explain her process in her own words.

I die cut the Meadow backdrop and trimmed off the top grass portion. Then I ink blended with Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide ink and splattered some Rustic Wilderness ink as well.

I also ink blended a short strip for the top of the card with same colors and blended the edges with Walnut Stain distress oxide ink.

For the circular part of the card sketch, I created a beaver dam using the Fruit Basket die for my frame. I trimmed the middle of the fruit basket die off. Ink blended with Walnut Stain distress ink. I also inked blended a small piece with Walnut Stain distress ink to put behind the dam.

I stamped many branches from Jump for Joy in Doe and Walnut dye ink and cut out using the coordinating dies. Then I layered the branches over the fruit basket frame. I added a few tiny branches with leaves from the new Wood You Be Mine as well.

I die cut 2 pieces of the Large Stitched Rectangle. With one of the rectangle pieces, I trimmed in half and ink blended both with Prize Ribbon distress oxide ink. Next, I heat embossed the waves (from Wood You Be Mine?) with white embossing powder. Then I stamped 2 lakes from Dad + Me with Prize Ribbon distress oxide ink to border the beaver dam.

I wanted the heart that the two beavers were holding to be wood-like, so I masked off the beavers and stamped the Woodgrain Backdrops to the heart. The sentiment was also heat embossed with white embossing powder. As a final touch I accented images with white gel pen.

Thank you so much, Mimi for sharing your cute and clever inspiration with us today!

Franci created a lovely shaker card that closely follows the card sketch! I hope it inspires you!

To make the moon, Franci die cut a Circle Stackable, then she stenciled the “craters” using Nighttime Sky Stencil. She added this to a panel of Let it Shine Starry Skies 6×6 paper following the sketch for placement.

Next, she layered a Stitched Rectangle Frame with a Stitched Hillside Border and a panel of acetate to create the shaker. She stamped the sentiment on the hillside before assembling the shaker, filling it with Chunky and Prisma glitter and some sequins.

To finish her card, she stamped and colored the hugging bears from Winter Skies and attached them with a view of the full moon!

This card is so gorgeous, Franci! Thank you so much for inspiring us today!

Samantha’s Seven Swans a Swimming Card Sketch Inspiration

We can’t wait to see how you are inspired by this Card Sketch! Link up your entry photos HERE! Your project should feature Lawn Fawn stamps, dies, stencils and papers and follow the challenge theme. This challenge will be open until Sunday, December 18 at 11:59PM ET.

Samantha was inspired by a favorite holiday song to make her Card Sketch design!

Samantha’s flipped the sketch for her beautifully clever card! The “seven swans” from Swan Soirée are swimming in the Stitched Pond. She used lots of pretty papers including Pixie Dust Sparkle to add lovely texture to her design.

She combined two Snow Flurries Backdrop snowflakes with the sentiment as she followed the sketch!

Love the “seven swans a swimming” theme, Samantha! So clever! Thanks for sharing with us.
