Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 16 – Use Your Oldest Lawn Fawn Set!

For this challenge we invite you to create a new card, scrapbook page or crafty project that features your oldest Lawn Fawn set! For some of us that takes us back seven years ago to first release sets like Critters in the “Burbs! Maybe you’re a new Fawny fan and your oldest set is from a recent release, that’s what will make this challenge so fun! You can check for when your sets were released at lawnfawn.com by clicking on Shop and selecting Release Date. Have fun combining old with new Lawn Fawn stamps and dies! This new challenge will run until Sunday, November 19 at 11:59PM PT. We can’t wait to take this stroll down memory lane with you!

For each challenge, we will randomly select a winner to receive a $25.00 gift certificate to the Lawn Fawn shop! We will also be highlighting a few of your fabulous projects at the close of each challenge! By linking your projects to our challenges you will give permission for us to post your work to this blog and our social media sites. Check out the How to Play page for a few guidelines to play along. We want this to be FUN so we will keep the rules few! Note: we’ve amended the rules a bit to limit entries to no more than 4 for each challenge.

Now let’s see what our amazing Design Team has created to inspire you!

Karin combined a sentiment from a newer set, Jump for Joy with a vintage set, Critters in the Forest!
Samantha M. shows off her lovely style on a card featuring the reindeer from Critters in the Snow!
Christy combined the adorable squirrel from Critters in the ‘Burbs with Scripty Joy and our new Birch Trees dies! She filled her beautiful shaker card with Chunky Glitter!
Jessica‘s sunny Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up design is filled with adorable Critters Down Under!
Samantha C created a fun way to announce a new address! Her card features retired sets You’ve Got Mail and Home Sweet Home along with some vintage patterned papers! The cute dog, squirrel and tree are from Critters in the ‘Burbs!

Just for fun our challenge admins, Jenn and Nancy went back into their photo archives to find their oldest set used on vintage card designs (it’s Critters in the ‘Burbs from Lawn Fawn’s first release in March 2010 for both)!

Jenn‘s clean and simple design is timeless and so adorable!
Nancy paired her critters and tree with clouds and a sentiment from a retired set, Partly Cloudy.

We will have Design Team inspiration for you over the next 2 weeks and of course, we will have our Featured Fawnatics and Random Winner from Challenge 15 tomorrow!

Colorful and Cute Wild for You Card by Christy!

It’s the last week for our Color Inspiration challenge! Let’s see your colorful projects; link them up HERE

Christy has some cuteness to share today for your weekend crafting inspiration!

Hi there, it’s Christy here today with a sweet birthday card using the colors from our current challenge’s inspiration photo! I still hadn’t inked up Wild For You so I decided to make these cute little critters the focus of my scene. I colored them with Copic markers and die cut them with the matching dies, then layered them on top of a Stitched Rectangle Stackables background and some Meadow Borders grass.

I added in a couple of clouds from Spring Showers and stamped a sentiment from Tiny Tag Sayings: Birthday on one in Peacock ink. Then I popped up my focal panel with foam tape over a card base layered with coordinating patterned papers. A smidge of Stickles glitter glue was my final touch.

You still have a week left to enter our Color Inspiration Board Challenge! I can’t wait to see what you create!

Thank you so much for sharing this amazing card creation, Christy! I love that blue elphie
Have a great weekend everyone; happy crafting!

Now for some inspiration from the Design Team:

Christy’s adorable Ahoy, Matey card features the most iconic of summertime destinations: a tropical island!
I love how Samantha M. combined the sentiments from a variety of sets, including Hello Sunshine, Life is Good, Love You S’more, Violets ABCs and Let’s Play to add fun text and sentiments to her adorable summer hockey scrapbook page! For some cuteness she added those sweet and smiley clouds from Plane and Simple!
Jessica‘s Mermaid for You card is so delightful! I love how she stamped the fun school of fish in a loop around the mermaid, that is so clever!
Roxanne‘s super cute card depicts a wonderful summer day spent flying kites! Yay, Kites and Little Picket Fence Border set the scene for fun!
Karin created a sweet summer card using Mermaid for You, So Jelly and Life is Good! I love how she framed this cute scene with the oval from Magic Color Slider!
Samantha C gathered some of her favorite woodland critters for a fun summertime BBQ! Jump for Joy, Party Animal, Stinkin’ Cute and Let’s BBQ star in this happy little  scene!
For Nancy, summer means the beach! She colored the Louie’s ABCs letters in beach-y colors with Copic markers, then added a Spring Showers sun and Smitty’s ABCs sentiment.
